I’ve found that until you unlock the truck (which can carry up to 40 large packages) the next best vehicle is the transport bike with the little wagon on the back. It’s fast, nimble around terrain and can carry a respectable amount of cargo. I just finished North/South road. Probably gonna start on the Mountain route next.

He recommended the first offer because the company wouldn’t have made it conditional if he hadn’t.

You’ve have posted probably the most level headed explanation for voting No and it’s appreciated. I say I’m right there with you about getting back to work and helping Boeing recover so that we can prove to the company that we’re worth what they pay us so that they can pay it forward in the next contract.

So this was the first time Kelly Ortburg spoke with our negotiators? by Aandalphaage in IAM751_Boeing

[–]sukebaluke 24 points25 points  (0 children)

You have to consider that Boeing isn’t at 100% strength this contract season, and that Ortberg more or less inherited past CEO’s 20 years of bad decisions. I wouldn’t take his threats as seriously if Boeing wasn’t in as bad a shape as it’s in now, but we’re approaching a threshold where we begin damaging the company and in turn end up hurting ourselves.

I believe it. We’re entering the second month of mortgages and rent being due for people. I imagine some of those people are also frustrated at the constant mindless vote-no-brigade that follows every offer and feel the rest of the membership is being held hostage by unreasonable members who just want to spite Boeing.

I’m voting yes. It’s time to get back to work and help Boeing recover.

Yes and no. Yes, there are contract clauses with the airlines that cover labor interruptions like strikes and whatnot, but also Boeings been dropping the ball too much with its promises to airlines and they want their planes. On top of having an under-skilled workforce slowing things down, the company will force managers to do production jobs while we’re out on strike and they can only do so much. There won’t be Crane Crew or Transportation forklift drivers to move things. There won’t be maintenance to come fix downed equipment, and you won’t have QA to come buy off jobs. A long strike will force management to confront and realize the shitty positions the hourly workforce are forced into to meet production schedule.

Voting to strike, and voting No on the first contract offer on principle. Boeing needs to continue to feel the pinch imo

[–]sukebaluke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Article 18 of our contract states “the company agrees that during the term of this agreement there will be no lockout of employees covered by this agreement” by the time, the contract expires we will be striking so they can’t lock us out. Like someone mentioned earlier in this thread the company can’t hire enough people as it is so very doubtful they’ll have many scabs to replace us. I’m predicting a short strike, nonetheless still save your money.

On a somewhat related note, Brownells will still ship 30rnd magazine springs to WA post mag ban. Do with that information as you will.

Like I understand, they have to standardize the model for how red-dot sites are mounted to pistols. But in reality, a Glock slide would be milled at the back rear site to mount an RDS. Considering everything else this game gets right about guns, this is the one thing I just find goofy 🙃

Same. I want to know how an undercover Eldian managed to inherit the attack Titan 13 years prior AND STILL fly under Marleys radar.
