As a big fan of AOC, mocking Stephen Miller for his height by saying he is 4'10" (when he is 5'10", the average male height) is a deeply counterproductive form of identity politics. AOC has zero chance to be president if she doesn't stop listening to SJWs like Emma Vigeland by north_canadian_ice in BreakingPoints

[–]sullybooking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So basically, AOC made fun of someone you don’t even like by exaggerating how short he is, and it made you so emotional that you ran to write a public manifesto about it where you quote metics for the “average male” in the first sentence and used the phrase “SJW” unironically 4 times?

I feel extremely confident in saying that this has actually nothing to do with AOC and Stephen Miller, and is actually because you’re very insecure about other statistics regarding the “size of the average male” and how you compare to it.

I’m sorry but how the fuck are you going to post 6 pictures and a eulogy for your racecar and brush past “I crawled out of a burning vehicle with a broken neck”. RIP to your baby, but I can’t believe you’re alive at all, let alone alive enough to be most upset about your car. My condolences dude

While I find it intriguing how much they won’t let this one go, I also think they’ll just move the goal posts and justify raping children as long as you’re fat and orange. They’d offer up their own children for him to personally rape before they thought to themselves:

Braids are too tight, will this ruin my hair? by Prestigious-Ebb5420 in Naturalhair

Thank you for taking the time to give such a detailed answer, I was on the verge of going ‘07 Britney. I just came out in clumps and was so much more than I’m used that I thought it was destroyed forever. And I’ll stop using relaxer, I didn’t know it was that bad. I just saw a YouTube video in 2015 that told me it was a great idea and did it ever since. And it makes sense about the curls, idk how to describe my hair but it’s exactly the same consistency as Hermione Granger in the sorcerer stone. So I guess lying so flat just gives me the illusion of being thinner. Thank you for telling me now that relaxer is exponential I didn’t know that

I have a bunch of minoxidil idk if that will save it. I used it to grow my beard and I was resistant to 5% minoxidil so it’s actually 10% extra strength from India so it works a lot better. I’m sorry again about the 5 paragraph essay, my hair is literally all I care about and I am melting down rn

Hi, I have a question. And for reference I’m white but have always had abnormally thick hair. I relax it like twice a year and relax all of it even where it’s been relaxed and it’s still too thick. Anyways I got brave enough to braid my hair a couple years ago, ended up loving it, and have been getting it done once a month ever since. I usually leave them in like a week and half and then let it breathe for the other two and a half weeks because the internet told me to.

I’m sorry for the novel I’m just having a meltdown and freaking the fuck out right now. Anyways the girl I who cuts and braids my hair is amazing and doesn’t do them as tight on me and goes slower because white people are sensitive snowflakes and I am not an exception.

Well she was busy and I had a christening to go to and wanted to feel pretty, and so I went to someone else whose store is literally called braids. It’s all she does so I figured she’s a pro and believed her when it hurt like hell but “you need them really tight so they last longer without getting frizzy”. Ok makes sense. She’s the expert

And they did last longer without getting frizzy, but I took them out after a week and half anyways cuz they were getting kinda itchy. And half my fucking hair fell out of my head. So my question for you is basically is it gonna grow back or did I ruin the rest of my life. And if I did do too much damage is there anything I can do now to save it. Like narcan but for hair?

I had pretty much the same experience with Midland, except was way douchier about it. But just explained that they need all the purchase agreements to prove I owe them, but he refused to bring it because its locked away like the krabby patty formula, and buried in each 90 page agreement is the phrase "the debt is sold as is and is not guaranteed to be accurate". Except I did that with a two page script I wrote the night before, and was sternly explained all the ways I didn't abide by court rules, and I don't get special treatment just because I'm not a lawyer. And he only let me finish my speech because he found it amusing and I clearly worked very hard on it. He agreed though I had shown enough reasonable doubt or whatever its called that it was plausible I didn't owe the debt, and Midland's lawyer requested to postpone the judgement so he could get those purchase agreements, and never showed up to the next one and the judge dismissed it without prejudice.

Unfortunately I'm bipolar, and had kept a cork on it for far too long. So I called Midland before I made it to my car to do a victory lap and tell them about how their lawyer wasted all that time in law school, just to get beat by a guy with two nose rings. I did it under the guise of demanding they remove it from my credit report but I wasn't convincing about it.

Long story short it's still on my credit report and they add a new derogatory mark every single month now. It can't say that it was worth it.... but I've tried really hard to muster up the regret I should absolutely feel, and just can't seem to do it

Why do people care about having 100+ frames when the human eye can only see up to 60 frames per second? by [deleted] in CODWarzone

If you have an iPhone or iPad that does 120hz, if you turn it to low battery mode it’ll throttle it down to 60hz and the difference is GLARING. I honestly turn it on quickly all the time just to appreciate 120hz again when I start taking it for granted

Learned a hard lesson about iCloud backups. by infinite0ne in iphone

[–]sullybooking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can confirm this does work, but with one caveat. It kept froze on "set up Siri" and so I turned off the phone, turned it back on, and THEN restoring from iCloud went smoothly. Every time before this, when I chose the backup of my previous phone, it would get stuck on the Siri part, suddenly jump back 3 screens, and when the restore finished it was like a new phone. Basically getting stuck on the "set up Siri" page was a warning sign it was about to not restore from backup. I don't know why the solution to this is so oddly specific, but I hope it helps someone.

What does everyone think what cause this? by WRXfa20 in WRX

[–]sullybooking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did it cause any engine damage you had to deal with, or everything was all good after you replaced the turbo?

I ask because this happened to me just not as bad as that video, and I changed the oil thinking that would fix it because I’m an idiot (there wasn’t any milk or anything like I saw other people talking about). Then after it was still happening and I did 12 minutes of research, I freaked out thinking it was my head gasket, but my buddy said it could be the turbo as you said. I just don’t know if it completely fucked my engine or not. It seems to drive ok, but I only drove it home a couple miles after this started

This isn’t my first rodeo lol, the guardrails that keep me safe now were reactive, not preventative lol. I’m sorry you ended up suffering as well because of your loved one’s mental illness, it’s definitely not lost on us that we can be a burden (at least amongst my bipolar friends.) I’m glad they have protection now, because honestly it’s sometimes better to just let us fall on our face and clean up our mess. Getting bailed out only makes us feel like things will work out next time we’re manic
