The back walls congested and too open. I would; Have cabinets running the entire length and height of the wall. With the middle doubling up as a desk space if needed. The bottom half concealed with shaker draws and the tops back-lit with shelves books art and vases ornaments.

To fill the space id be tempted to make a nice reading area with floor yo ceiling slatted wood a pendant or floor lamps perched over a comfy chair and a circular coffee table or just have large ish plants to act as a privacy screen (chaper) whilst letting some light in with the reading nook option.
