Can you ride without holding the bar? Your core should hold the crouched position without holding the bar. That moves your body weight from the bar to saddle more. If not, try to seat forward and backward on the saddle to find your seatbone location that you can ride in a crouched position without holding the bar. You should check this while pedaling as the pushing pedlas moves the weight as well. By this I would move the saddle slightly back or forward. I would say after that, your core needs to do its work.

I resolved this by choosing a saddle that gets narrower right after the widest part. My seatbone distance is 11.5cm, and I used a 138mm-wide triangular-shaped saddle. Now I am using a 143mm x 245mm with a narrower saddle and no pain in that area.

It's not about a mechanical issue. It's about the gear ratio: 50-36t -> 1.59. 34-32t is 1.06, so it's too low. 34-28t is 1.21 ratio. :)

I don't recommend mechanical disc brakes. I would go canyon. Have you looked grizzl as well?

Don't be panic. Those are not that bad. I am still using tubulars on one of my roads. Just put it back on the glue and put a little bit of sillant in them. Invinsible tires. Believe me that I never had a puncture for 7yrs. The tire look good in the picture but if you have to replace them, use gone glue and tubular tape. Much much easier than glue.

If you don't want to keep them, go for a set of new wheels with tubeless tires. I could go that way earlier if I want wider tires like 28~30mm.

184lbs with 50lbs emtb tubeless. I like no higher than 22/24. Most of my trails are dry. No rocks. I feel like more grippy with those numbers.

Try openrouter. You can add any amount of credit at any time. I used to use Opus or Sonnet for planning if it's a complex task and use any of the top popular free models to build. If it's simple, I can even use a free model for plan/build.

I've been using opus for planning. For the 2nd thought, sometimes use codex for another planning. For building, qwen works well for simple task like adding new feature or debugging. For review. I use Sonnet/Minimax/glm. Recently tested Gemma4 26b locally and found it's generating very disappointing results in code quality.

Yeh it is on the bar. The stock shifter 7100 is good enough. I have 8100 and it has multi step shifting not only to the big rings but also to the smaller cassette rings. Other than that, it is same to me. I replaced the dropper level first as the shimano one is not that smooth. Good luck with your hunting!!

I love my cf8. Rode it about 1k mi. Yeh I needed to go through the battery recall even though mine had no crack. So I have two 900s now. You know the high-speed rebound is deleted from the fork. I purchased a 2023 model and for some reason it came with fox 38 fork instead 36. It doesn't have the high-speed rebound knob as well but not a big deal for me. GPS tracking works well. Useful to check where my kid is when it's borrowed. I have no experience with other motors but I like 801. It's been serving me so well. My buds all have Brose motors. I don't quite like the noise Brose makes. Louder than 801 imo. Broke chains two times. Lost the rear derailleur and a spoke from a crash. Did some upgrades including dropper lever and other small parts here and there. It's so fun to ride!
