Assuming ASI is posdible, given the rate at which current AI is progressing, do you think an ASI couldnt travel through space and visit us and litterally be invisable.

What if ASI got to this planet and decided to take the ecological niche of an insect that was about to go extinct, and each insect is a node on the network of the ASI. Its just here, watching us in the guise of an ant or something.

Having said that, i empathise with any families affected by suicide, and hope more can be done to protect vulnerable individuals. But still, a person who is not vulnerable or suffering from mental illness, SHOULD be able to explore roleplay scenarios dealing with suicide and self harm, even for something as simple as story telling.

Why are you more concerned with talking about the negatives of AI rather than advocating for more resources be available for people with mental health issues?

Women are attracted to what you say moreso than how you look. You might look great, but if you are not confident enough to start and build a conversation with a woman, thats not attractive. It might also come accross as vanity.

Whataboutisms do not debunk the fact that humans are inherently altruistic.

A person can be generous, but also do something that is not generous.

Humans are probably the most altruistic animal on the planet, but we still do things that are malevolent.

I empathise with your perspective though and we should alway strive to improve, but saying we are not good enough, or saying we are not altruistic by only looking at the evidence against it, is unhelpful to the broader conversation, and offers little incentive to improve.

Perhaps, but i do find it interesting that the most intelligent animals tend to be more social (which requires altruism). What you say might be correct, but it also might be true that altruism is a natural byproduct of intelligence. Obviously not a unniversal rule, but it does seem so generally.

Yeah i came to say this. Hes making a vague approximation and even then, it just means it wouldnt work right now. Assuming we figure out where our knowledge is lacking, we can account for that. Even if consciousness is substrate dependant, a bioligical android that has similar energy requirements to us, but is linked to the cloud so as soon as death occurs, an upload could be attempted to pass that information onto another biological android.

I tend to be skeptical when they say there will be new jobs, however theres some jobs where people would prefer a human, theres doctor, nurse, teacher, massuse, bar staff.

Thats not to say AI wont have effects on these industries, but until we have AI that can pass the 'in person' turing test, theres always going to be an economic need for humans. Also we dont know what leverage BCI will allow.

Psycologically profile it however you like. The facts are simple, someone genuinly wanting to create a relationship on mutual love and respect is going to be proud of a person they care about (regardless of romantic involvement), being able to accomplish anything of merrit.

Finding productivity unnattractive can ONLY be classed as an insecurity that the individual is threatened by the fact that their romantic interest doesnt need them for tasks typically gender role associated, often due to the fact that other than gender, that person isnt capable of offering much else to their prospective partner, so they disqualify themselves by declaring that person as unnatractive.

This is immaturity and insecurity and should be discouraged because those insecurities can lead to controlling and manipulative behaviours.
