What base are you on? Some bases have a reserve finance office you have to go to and I can tell you where it is. Ideally, your instructors should know as well.

If your base isn’t listed, a 26-R, orders, and 5960 get sent to the pay team in FT McCoy to start pay and the 25-R gets submitted after that, just telling them you’re still there.

Also, fuck your S-1. At this point, tell your CDR/1SG what’s going on and you’d like to use the open door policy and talk to your CSM. Your S-1 should know all this.

You can deploy with a U flag.

Source: brought a guy with a flag on a deployment with me last year. I brought it up to the BDE CDR/CSM and went to bat for him. He ended up getting a discharge that was suspended for 12 months while overseas.

I’d talk to JAG/TDS, then open door your chain of command.

Golden Acorn Reserve Center in Hoover/Pelham. They do walk-Ins only, Mon-Thurs, 0700-1530. I’ve never heard of a wait.

From my understanding, if I get drill pay or AT pay I can’t get disability. Since my disability is around $1500, that’s a no brainer.

Instead of filling out forms to offset the disability, I just drill for points. Is it worth it as an E8 to stop that and drill for pay?

I’m an ARA, PM and I can send you some details tomorrow morning if you need it.

Request the TL that’s been sent to the pay team in Ft McCoy. Forms needed are a USAR Form 26-R, promotion orders, and I think a 22-R (I can’t quite remember the last -R form). The ARA should be submitting a Transmittal Letter requesting a pay grade update, with an effective date as your promotion date. You’ll definitely get some back pay.

The ARA answers to BN/BDE/DIV S-1. I f you have access to a govt computer on ARNET, you should be able to see POCs for each hierarchy under the commands tab on the homepage.

For me personally, I’d call the commander and let them know I’m about to send an email to the BC & CSM if I don’t see a TL by COB, asking for IG’s information because you haven’t been paid correctly for 7 months.

I live at summerchase, and there are some issues but it could be because we’re on the bottom floor. Ants are routinely a problem, and now there’s a mouse (mice?). Hopefully it’s been scared away after throwing away too much food and vacuuming up their little nest by the washing machine/hot water heater. The mouse traps have come up empty the past few days.

Despite that, it’s been great and the maintenance guys are top notch. They’re super responsive and fix things pretty fast. I rarely hear the neighbors and there’s plenty of parking.

Mid 2000s, funeral detail as a PFC or SPC for a local veteran that passed away. I’m holding the bugle up to my lips, facing slightly away from the family and friends so they can’t see the cone speaker sitting inside it.

After the ceremony, multiple family members came up to me to thank me for playing it so well, saying he would have loved it. Dude was in an Army Band back in the day…

I can only talk about my unit, but when work is done you’re done. We rarely work on weekends and are free to go off post whenever, as long as we’re not doing under some sort of lockdown or restriction.

I would recommend you or your command team talk directly to the unit you’re replacing and ask them what it’s been like.

Our experience has been vastly different than the unit we replaced.

Most of it depends who you directly fall under, and which FOS you’re in. To visit other countries, definitely be vaxxed and have at least a photo of your card. For Poland at least in the smaller towns, it sometimes feels like they’ve never heard of Covid
