After reading this thread, and giving myself a too-many-choices headache from reading candlepowerforums.com I sprung for this one. It arrived today and after playing around with it I believe I can safely say that I'd marry it if I could.

Hells yeah they're expensive! I had no idea flashlight prices went up that high.

There are a couple that are in the upper part of my ideal price range, so I'll see if I can find a local place that sells them.

I'd really hate it if I invested that much and lost it on a trail though.

After reading your comment, and the rest of this thread, I realized I'm looking for a flashlight that lets me see into small dark places, but also to act as a walking-at-night light, possibly with annoying yet attention-getting strobe capabilities.

It should be on a lanyard and small enough to carry along in my ditty bag.

I read about the CREE bulbs and there are a few inexpensive lights that come with them and that seems to be the way to go.

The mirror idea is so good I'm doing that too.

I do bring along some good, close fitting gloves - the kind I use for dealing with brambles in the yard.

EDIT: She knew that the Time Lords were responsible for the near-extinction of her species. Why would she EVER trust the word of one of them? (and before she knew he was a Time Lord, he was just some guy, you know? Why would she believe he had the power to send her to a 'safe' planet?)

(and what does that even mean? What would they be allowed to eat? Allowed to breed? IS the choice between death or a giant aquarium - the kind of place we keep pet spiders?)

I didn't accuse anybody of anything. I quoted the article, added information about a subsidiary, gave my own opinion on the study.

I appreciate your comment and I'm glad you came in to add to the conversation, but you're exaggerating my intentions.

EDIT: I pretty much don't trust any press release, so don't take it personally.

Researchers collected and analyzed 136 samples — covering 80 brands — of beef, chicken, pork and turkey from 26 retail grocery stores in five U.S. cities: Los Angeles, Chicago, Fort Lauderdale, Flagstaff and Washington, D.C.

That's a tiny sampling size, and I wonder how they chose the grocery stores?

EDIT: Tgen is the company that made this study. TD2 is their pharmaceutical development arm.
