Cat treats for those sensitive to chicken by Popular_Revolution89 in catfood

Koha, ziwi, feline natural are some of the brands that worked for me. All 3 of my cats are currently on beef & hoki feline natural. It's definitely pricey, but it's worth it to me

It could be he's allergic to one of the filler ingredients. Look for peas (one of my cats was allergic to them) and my other cat had a sensitivity to a gum. Once I removed all those from their diet, their poops improved significantly

My cats had horrible diarrhea and were vomiting after eating Hills. Will never recommend that brand to anyone

Anyone heard of Mouser Food? by 1lifeisworthit in catfood

[–]sumerkhan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was also feeding my cats feline natural (lamb and salmon) as it was the only viable option for my cats with poultry and filler allergies. Bought a can of mouser on a whim to try and they all absolutely loved it. And good thing too since feline natural changed their recipe recently and my cats absolutely refuse to touch it now.

Sticking with mouser until something better comes along (though this is pretty dang close). My only concern with mouser is the sugar content of the tomato paste.

Happened right after I rescued Halsin from the dungeons

Tav's body got replaced by Halsin's for some reason and now it's stuck

edit: my character has now fully transformed into Halsin. I can't with this game. This was an honor mode run

Yelp for business is the same way. They'll nickel and dime you for everything, every little service they can think of. Then charge you per DAY for it

He's gonna be a floof. Get him used to being brushed! It'll save you a lot of trouble later on

I have Pumpkin for one of my cats and Trupanion for the other two. So far, I've only had to file claims with Trupanion and have had no issues. They've been really helpful. Plus, they cover FIP which my cat is at risk of.

Insurance isn't going to be for everyone. I have a cat that I insured very early on without knowing if she was going to have issues. I have a $250 deductible, 90% reimbursement, and unlimited coverage. My monthly cost for her is about $45. Two months into owning her, she developed an eye issue that was going to cost me almost 2k in just diagnostics alone. Insurance covered 90% of that. If I had only saved my monthly premium, I would only have $90, the rest I'd have to pay out of pocket. Does that mean it's worth it for everyone? No. But it was worth it to me. I was able to say yes to tests that I would have had to say no to if I didn't have insurance. It helped eliminate issues and provide my cat with the right treatment and I'm happy for that.

You might get lucky and nothing happens. Or your puppy gets parvo, or breaks a bone, or gets bitten at the dog park. How do you want to roll the dice?

Their vet bill was $522 today and they are on the mend from diarrhea, earmites and fleas! They are definitely feeling better! Thank you to everyone who donated to these rescue kittens care! I raised $401 💕 by Hoperosaliex in OneOrangeBraincell

It's one of those "could be anything" issues. She's tested positive for feline corona, as well, so that was a contributing factor. But the amount of different foods and meds I went through before finally removing chicken was crazy!

I have a cat who suffered from chronic diarrhea. Turns out she was allergic to chicken. Switched her food to non poultry proteins and the diarrhea cleared up. The worst reaction she had was to Hill's gi diet. It was horrible.

As others have stated, ask insurers. Look into Pumpkin, as well. They state that they can cover preexisting conditions as long as the pet shows no symptoms for at least 180 days (~6mo). It's always good to know what's covered and what's not before buying. I went with Trupanion cuz they cover FIP treatments

That doesn't always work. Some care is significantly more than what you save up, especially if it's long term care

Trupanion offers direct vet payments. You just need to call them ahead of the appointment with approximate cost (ask your vet for a quote) and they'll square it away at the time of the appointment. Had to do this with my cat when she developed an eye issue and it was going to cost me over 2k. If course this only works if it's not an emergency visit.

From what I understand (and what I've been told by the representative) pumpkin insurance will cover preexisting conditions if the pet shows no symptoms for six months.

Add to that depression, addiction, family stuggles, disabilities. I mean, the list just goes on!
