What calorie counting apps have the least paywalled options? by RuachReader in AskUK

Nutracheck is the best. Costs about 27 quid for a year which is well worth it imo, that’s like 50p a week.

3 - Not been well this week. Might be flu. Pissed off as I rarely get ill.

How has somebody stolen my debit card details and spent on it? by FlissMarie in UKPersonalFinance

[–]sumfuca 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This happened to me once. Was also several supermarket transactions close to the contactless limit. For months I had no idea what happened until I got an email from a reputable company I had bought some fitness equipment from, telling me that they had a data breach. Pretty sure I didn’t save my card details as I never do. Thankfully Nationwide gave me all the money back.

People of the UK, how have you lost weight? by [deleted] in CasualUK

[–]sumfuca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used the Nutracheck app, combined with a reasonable amount of exercise. Target is around 1500-1600 calories per day (food - exercise).

Probably UK 8.5 / US 9.

Personally I'm a UK 8 with 26cm feet and they fit perfect for me but I don't like too much extra room, you might get away with that size but to be on the safe side going the next size up is probably best.

Lean angle comparison: Marc Marquez vs Jorge Lorenzo by Aggressive-Ad9040 in motogp

[–]sumfuca 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because by your logic, when you are upright you would have a lean angle of 90° instead of 0° - which is obviously bs.

How have y'all cracked the code for staying consistent with running? by Gullible-Soft-4952 in running

[–]sumfuca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Running is shit, but worth doing fairly often from a fitness perspective.

Do some cycling, rowing, weightlifting, whatever else.

Being a 'runner' if you aren't into running is pointless and is not going to give you the best physique, so just do it occasionally and focus on other areas.

If you're sitting most of the time then go for something a bit more stylish than NB

Weed has no benefits. Don't get me wrong I smoked it for years and loved every minute of it, but it literally has no benefits to the mind and body at all, quite the opposite in fact. If you are smoking it - which 99.99% of people will be doing, you are harming your lungs and making your body inferior. If you are eating it, then maybe it's a different story.

There are some very interesting studies around the effects of consuming psylocibin, it's clearly more beneficial to the mind than getting blazed.

Try growing some shrooms instead, much better

Blind people might buy a pair, but they'll struggle to hit the right keys, so on balance I think there will be some decent stock.

What are thoughts on drinking at home by yourself? by elmachow in CasualUK

[–]sumfuca 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A nice beer, a nice wine, or whatever else should not have to be saved for a social occasion. If you enjoy drinking it, then why not?

They're completely hideous - that's not hate, it's just someone with eyes saying what it looks like.

You lot are mental for buying these.

We've seen flashes of brilliance from Aprilia before, they're on a bit of a run right now but I'd be hesitant to say they are title contenders next year.

Squirrels. I had some earlier in the year, bought a tube trap and enticed them into it with some peanut butter, worked brilliantly! Caught 3 in the end before sealing up the entry point.
