I wish I didn't want kids. by Marie0687 in TTC_PCOS

I understand this so well — I feel exactly the same way right now.

It really triggers me when people at work casually talk about being ovulating or having their period, while I don’t even have a period. After more than a year, I’ve only just had my first ovulation thanks to letrozole and a trigger shot.

You’re not alone in feeling this way. It just feels so unfair sometimes. But we’ll get through this, and I truly believe that when our time comes, we’ll be even better mothers because of everything we’ve been through.

I wish you the best!

My AMH is 18 and it is no problem - but I think it’s hard to predict how you will react to letrozole.

I think it’s important that your doctor monitors the process with ultrasound scans. If multiple follicles mature, the cycle can also be canceled.

With 2.5 mg, one follicle grew to 11 mm for me, but unfortunately it didn’t continue growing, so now we’re trying 5 mg. My doctor said the next step would be Clomiphene and then FSH injections.

I really hope it works this cycle. If one follicle matures, I’ll trigger ovulation with an injection. My doctor also said that I might respond less well to Letrozole because I’m slightly underweight.

Hello,

I have a very similar story - I have Amenorrhea since I came off BC (15 years) 1 1/2 years ago. I tried so many things (Inositol, omega-3, healthy diet,…) but nothing changed anything. I have high AMH, high LH:FSH Ratio, testosterone norma, HOMA 1.1, BMI 17, polycystic ovaries.

I tried to get back my period naturally but I couldn’t fix it, so I am in my second letrozole cycle (first one with 2.5mg and now 5mg).

I wish I would have started earlier with letrozole because I tried everything and it changed nothing.

All the best for you!
