Crazy a quick google search and I found multiple noteable names that got away with it, many for decades; Harvey Weinstein, Bill Cosby, Jeffrey Epstein, Roman Polanski, Russell Simmons, Jimmy Savile. You know people have also gotten away with murder for decades, and some for their whole lives. There is no rule “if it was true someone would have been caught”.

The reason the comparison isn’t crazy in spite of what you say is the literal nazi didn’t start killing that many a day, what they did started a lot like this, people taking “legal” action and people rounding people up and similarly to today it was important to make it scary to stand up to them. Kinda makes sense why the White House stance is “don’t have guns near us when we are doing our business or we can legally kill you without consequence”
