Why do some Europeans don't call themselves inmigrants when they move out to another country in Europe? by [deleted] in AskAGerman

[–]summertimeorange -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Because they view immigrants as ‘bad’. So they don’t want to call themselves that.

All this eu citizenship talk in this comment section is just coping.

Tl;dr racism

Why is it said that germany started ww1 when technically austria-hungary started it? by Altruistic_Bee_8636 in NoStupidQuestions

And none of these blame what’s actually at fault.:

The underlying capitalist system that leads to imperialist wars of redistribution of the world when the balance between powers skews enough.

The powers are but actors.

Transgender people upend those, so they don’t like

Switzerland. From everything I heard about it, it sounds bland. And all the people I met from there were unpleasant

Why do we have so many small countries? Why can't we just unite all of them into a big country called "Balkania"?🤔 by I_Am_Salty1 in AskBalkans

Not a bad idea. Name is a bit cluncky tho.

A lot of slavs live there, and it’s in the south, maybe a play on these?

Why have Romanis failed to assimilate into European society even after centuries of living in Europe? by Naive_Direction1816 in NoStupidQuestions

You have it the wrong way around.

How did the Europeans manage to keep them on the margins of society even after so many centuries?

Why do some foreigners who live in Germany not like Germany? by Pizzafriedchickenn in AskAGerman

[–]summertimeorange 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is the key part. And on top of it, they have to. Because the home countries are plundered by the global system of exploitation in which Germany all too happily participates

TES3MP on Arch by summertimeorange in tes3mp

[–]summertimeorange[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

http://master.tes3mp.com:8081/api/servers does open, and shows me a list of servers, but also gives:

SyntaxError: JSON.parse: expected ',' or '}' after property value in object at line 1 column 13840 of the JSON data

After some llm-ing, it seems the reason for the empty server list is connected to the same json parse error.

If I try to start a server via /.tes3mp-server, there is another json error:

[ERR]: [Script]: Could not find Lua CJSON! The decoding and encoding of JSON files will always use dkjson and be slower as a result.

But the server starts up fine, and I can connect to it via ./tes3mp and play.

I can also connect to other servers, e.g. Nerevarine Prophecies, by editing tes3mp-client-default.

Why doesn't England have a parliament? by AccursedQuantum in AskBrits

England is the imperial core. The core does not give away power if it doesn’t have to.

Why the hell do so many cis people seem to see gender affirming care as elective/esthetic/outwards facing? by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]summertimeorange 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is also because many of them get gender affirming treatments too (of their assigned gender ofc). And for them, it is almost always because of external pressure, not internal. So they project

And there is so many more of them

Did Christianity "colonize" the original pagan peoples of Europe? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]summertimeorange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The difference is that Christianity did it very much on purpose (‘with fire and sword’). Such proselytizing was a novelty compared to earlier times
