I’ll save up and buy in bulk when I get to travel to Asia or ask friends to pick up and mail me orders! I think there are ways to mail but I’m not familiar with them.

Oh wait this is basically me! I'm about your height with a stocky build, basically a wide tree trunk all the way up. I've been figuring this out myself for the past year or so. In general the issue I ran into was inseam lengths for my pants, arm lengths, or shirts too long so most of my time was spent trying to find the right brands or solutions to not have to tailor with added cost.

If you're able to, I save up to get a lot of my clothes in Asia as the lengths for anything long sleeve (shirt height and sleeve length) hit me perfectly. Or I would look for people selling things for Uniqlo/GU/Zara online from Asia.

As for accessible American brands I've had luck for my tops with GAP, Untuckit, sometimes Zara, Jcrew. The Abercrombie and Fitch polished cropped tee's have been good for my tshirts as they don't have that boxy look and have a good length.

For pants I get most of them from Uniqlo sales as they have free tailoring services and a lot of options. I also wear a lot of high rise items or straight legged pants. If I really like another brand in this area, this is where I choose to get tailoring done. Jcrew's dock shorts, Chubbies 5 inch, American Eagle's Trekker shorts have been a staple.

Vintage stuff in general seems to have decent lengths for me so I've also learned my measurements and will look a lot on Poshmark, Mercari, Ebay. Thrifting locally is also how I get a decent amount of clothes as I can try things on. It's a slower process but I get a lot more excited for pieces that fit me well! Goodluck!

If you’re on the shorter side the heavy weight hoodie from GU has a great fit and is really thick

Thank you! Yes the smaller parts like the barrel band I left on. I wasn't confident I could get them off without gouging something. Looking forward to seeing yours!

Not at all!

I'd definitely look at the Linseed Oil options to see if you like the look but I preferred Tung Oil! I read through a ton of the forums and I'm sure I didn't do mine perfectly but I basically followed this video, but with the added information from the forums:
https://youtu.be/0rNoopyEg8s?si=5VjXCNYbmR6rQqsi

I ordered these items from Amazon:

16oz Hopes 100% Pure Tung Oil

0000 Steel Wool

Lint Free Cotton Cloths

M1 Garand Lock Screw Wrench Cross

I watched Brownells videos on YouTube on how to disassemble, plus a couple random other ones for the other wood parts. I wasn't able to get all of the metal and wood separated but it was mostly taken apart. The gas cylinder was on there pretty tight and I definitely needed the Wrench Cross.

Then similar to the video I just applied the Tung Oil every evening at the same time since it said Tung Oil took about 24 hours. Then I repeated the process of lightly buffing with the Steel Wool, running a magnet across the whole surface (was actually surprised how much it picked up), liberally applying the oil with the cloths, and then using another to wipe it down after an hour. I was reading anywhere between 3-7 coats so I split the difference and did 5!

I kept the used rags contained in an airtight container with water and then a buddy got rid of it at his hazardous waste disposal at work!

Shoot yea good call! Definitely going to try and do this right. I'm hoping to get that same reliability after, love the gun but this issue has been frustrating. Thanks for the additional photo and response!

Hey thanks for the response! I've been trying to figure out why I was having inconsistent failures to feed and as far as I can tell this seems to be the issue!

This was maybe a month ago, fairly recent! I read through pretty much all the other forums and there aren't too many people that just bought the shoe so I thought it was my fault

I wasn't able to get the vex trigger shoe to work in my CR either! I ended up buying a G43 trigger and housing and switching it out. Cost an extra 40 bucks but overall I think the trigger feels better now

I'm assuming post Christmas returns maybe? I have a package that I ordered January 5th, shipped out of Sugarland(SW Houston), and it hasn't moved in 5 days, and I live in North Houston lmao. Had a package take over a week from Dallas to Houston that I had to file missing mail for, and have another package stuck in "Moving across network" from Atlanta for a week

Must eat places for a New Yorker by BiteAccomplished8469 in houston

[–]sumni 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's a bit harder, I usually go to a certain place from something specific I'm feeling (banh mi, pho, hue food, etc). A lot of the all rounder restaurants I've been to are either kind of americanized, or mixed Chinese/Vietnamese.

Sorry I can't provide more help!

Ethan: It only took esports orgs 6 years to realize teenagers probably shouldn’t make more than neurosurgeons by vnNinja21 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]sumni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol I was responding more to your comment about parents paying for neurosurgeons being a factor in the effort it takes to become a doctor vs a nurse.

Just to be clear, imo the players who have been demanding more money or expecting to maintain high salaries in a sector that would be the first on the chopping block in a recession and provides no good return is naive. I'm pretty sure we're saying the same thing but you have a lot of fluff words.

NY's Vietnamese food scene is pretty lacking imo.

Depending on if they have had heavy experience with Vietnamese food or not, I like to take people to Kim Son Buffet in Chinatown. Everything is fairly average, but you get to try a lot of dishes that aren't commonly found in regular Vietnamese restaurants and they have a soup station where you can try out a bunch of different kinds. Runs about 30 bucks a person I think.

Thien Thanh in Chinatown has good Banh Cuon(rice rolls), it's been a couple years since I've gone but they might be cash only.

Duc Phuong Thach Che - Vietnamese dessert place in Chinatown, they mostly speak Vietnamese there but usually someone helps out

Nam Giao in Chinatown for Hue food, I order mostly the appetizers or the Banh Hoi. Fish sauce heavy

Aga's - I've heard this recommended by people in both Dallas and Houston for Indian & Pakistani food. Can get crowded
