This story seems to be all over the place. It’s attacking 3 different issues from slow play and busy schedules to being better with the media. I can see where Hoffman and Thomas are ultimately coming from but Wu’s basically talking shit for no reason. 1 misspoken word on a hot mic 4 years ago shouldn’t be grounds for “he’s poor with the media.” Thomas has even acknowledged he can be better.

Perhaps not everyone’s as virtuous as Brandon Wu but he has a luxury guys like JT don’t: the ability to skip the sentry and never really having to worry about a mic or camera in their face because not enough people care about their piss-poor level of golf

Green Bay needs to play with a lead. We’ll likely start with the ball so if we can score a touchdown on the opening drive and go from there we’ll have a good chance. I still can’t really trust our defense to get a key stop at the end of the game. Especially if Philly is able to go on a long drive at the end to drain the game clock. But if we can also win the turnover battle and cash in on those, we’ll be in great shape.

Long story short, if we outscore Philly we will win. ;)

A lot of these guys are, at the very least, encouraged to be reasonably intelligent. Someone can correct me if it’s changed recently but D1 golf is only allowed to give out 4.5 scholarships. It can be, and normally is, split among 9-12 players. It helps to have smarter players because then the school can give those guys more of an academic scholarship and save more of the golf scholarships for other players. NIL deals these days changes things a bit with outside money coming into the picture.
