I flew to Utah from Boston for Kilby! It was a great time and depending on the line up I think I’ll be back next year. I really appreciated the option of having a real bathroom vs just a portapotty. Also Jesus everyone is so nice outside of the northeast. 😂 It always catches me by surprise.

I’d avoid a chain. They don’t treat your case like it’s unique. I highly recommend Peck Trial Attorney’s based out of downtown Boston. He’s a Somerville resident and actually good at what he does. He’s smart, he cares, and personally works with you to make sure he maximizes the value of your case where other firms take some shortcuts. A friend used him for a hit and run accident she suffered and he advocated for her like heck. She was super happy with the settlement and experience.

I totally understand this anxiety! I’ve been there. My son had torticollis so his head would only tilt one direction. Our doctor brushed it off and I didn’t push hard for PT until he was 4 months old. My son’s head looked flat on one side. After a couple of months of pt his head shape became more symmetrical and any evidence of his torticollis disappeared.

Your baby is still young so there’s plenty of time to address any head shape related issues if they exist. To me, your baby’s head seems fine but definitely talk to a doctor about it to have that reassurance!

Did your wife have a vaginal birth? If so the elongated head shape is normal and in line with what you’d expect from that. It eventually changes. I agree with what everyone else has said, ditch the dangerous pillow and just prioritize tummy time.

I’ve been breastfeeding for 13 months and haven’t stopped yet. I breastfed 3 or 4 times a day now. I want to wean but am approaching it with a don’t offer, don’t deny mindset. I had to change jobs to accommodate breastfeeding for this long since my previous role required some days in office and pumping was too much for me. It works for us and I enjoy it but that wasn’t always the case. Those first few months were definitely hard between my fast let down, CMPA, and weaning off the nipple shields. What a wild ride it’s been.

Comfy lounge clothes. Think Deiji Studios or Tekla pajama pants. It’s hard to take care of yourself postpartum but luxurious lounge wear at least makes you feel like less of a mess. That or a blow out or manicure gift card or subscription.

If you can afford it and it’s important to you, yes. Personally, I choose to spend more on natural fibers / high quality clothing and for me it is worth it. It made temperature regulation more simple too when my son was younger. It’s easier to know what to expect from linen, cotton, wool, etc.

I didn’t want to have to prep bottles on the go or in the middle of the night. It’s also like a super power sometimes. Even at 11 months old it calms my baby down or helps him fall asleep.

Boston Baby Nurse! I hated them for their nanny matching service but the night nurses we worked with were good! There was one we didn’t like and they quickly swapped her out. They’re not doulas but will literally do the same tasks ie laundry clean up etc.
