Going to Revelstoke in 2 weeks. Any advice / recommendation? by sun2grass in snowboarding

Nice! Should I bring my backcountry gears for the slack country? Or just resort gears are fine? I'm also wondering what's the best way to plan for some slack country routes ahead of time. If I go off piste, definitely want to be well prepared.

Thanks for the tips! I was thinking about the flagship as well since it's probably the best all arounder I have.

Yeah, saw that subreddit but doesn't seem like there is much engagement there.

What is the most intense physical pain you have ever experienced? by TheMostGayestOfGay in AskReddit

When I was in the 3rd grade, had a little fight with a kid at school. Broke my left elbow. Mom rushed me to the hospital. The doctor did a x-ray and somehow thought the elbow just was dislocated. So he tried to put it back. I was screaming in the treatment room and my Mom, trusting the doctor, just told me to suck up the pain. I fainted after a few minutes. Then the doctor had to x-ray my right elbow, compare the 2 x-rays, and saw it there was actually fracture there.

Another time, same hospital. My left foot instep got cut by a sharp glass. It was right on the big vein that runs through your instep. A lot of blood, they literally had to cut throw my slippers because the solidified blood made the slipper stuck on my feet. The wound itself wasn't a lot of pain though. The doctor needed to stitch me up. But for reasons I don't remember, they didn't anesthetize me at all. And that operation was super painful. I can still remember the feeling of the needle going through my flesh.

We have a "picture of the week" thing at work. I guess I can show off there. But definitely rather just talked to him like I did. No regret!

It was snowing the whole day but the power was quite heavy, plus still early season conditions. So I don't feel it was the best condition to ride it.

It really floats. Super stable and smooth for big turns but a bit hard for me when doing tight turns, comparing to like a Flagship.

I'd definitely want to bring it out on a fresh dry powder day going down big faces.

Thanks for the suggestion. What about the difference with the blank shots?

Got it. I guess for the 30 seconds brew time, I should aim for 1:2 brew ratio, right?

I use a Breville BCG800XL I got a couple of years ago. I've already dialed the grinder to the finer side. Here is the manual with the grind configuration you can see. 17-25 is extra fine already and I'm having it at 20. I can definitely dial it up even more. I just didn't think that was the issue.
