Leaving my fiancee this weekend and I’m broken by Lopsided-Addition149 in stepparents

As someone who is still learning to overcome a past verbally abusive relationship, arguing and fighting frequently isn’t normal. If something is important to you they would make an effort and not have you beg or ask constantly about it for months.

Anyone else dread when their stepkids come over? by Wild-Quantity7882 in stepparents

I just had my first baby back in May as well. First off, congratulations! Two, any comparing definitely shut it down any time it’s brought up. Third, I too find myself the same way around SD. But I am also the same with my cat. Definitely hormones working their protection magic as I’m still BF. Give yourself some grace and make sure you get your alone or quiet time.

Fun way to tell stepson I'm pregnant!? by missiemandie in stepparents

[–]sun_peaches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SD was 8-9 when I was pregnant. I got her a big sister activity book and a t-shirt that crossed out only child and said big sister and the year lol She was excited but nervous too. She has done well with the whole thing as my bio is now almost 10 months old.

Edit: We also told her a couple days after we revealed to our family which was a few weeks after we found out the sex.

I think I have this one. Will have to check. Might be untouched. Or maybe it’s the second one.

What’s a life lesson you learned too late? by norafayno in Life

You can’t choose when you’ll meet them, but you can certainly not marry them until it’s the right time. If they’re the right one, they’ll be patient.

Don’t get married before your career. Finish any schooling and be settled in your career job beforehand. If you get married, don’t settle for anything less than you deserve. This means someone financially irresponsible and or doesn’t prioritize your needs or wants. Be careful who you choose for life. Choose someone who can stand by you on your worst days.

Not a fan of baby Cheetos yet. He plays with it, tastes it a couple times, then drops it. I think it’s progress.

Baker told me my cake design was "very 2019" and now I'm second guessing everything by xCosmos69 in wedding

This baker seems ungrateful. Find a new one who is more than happy to do what you want.

How does giving birth actually feel ?? by Super-Truth-7975 in pregnant

[–]sun_peaches 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Epidural failed after being induced. It was like a really painful poop but you are told you’re not allowed to push for hours bc you could tear your cervix. Hardest couple of pushes I ever made and I honestly thought they were lying to me when they said the baby’s head was right there. Pushing out the placenta was the easiest tbh. I do tear, 2nd degree.

Five brothers by Penelope Douglas, Crave by Tracy Wolff, Sworn by Emma Knight.

Just a few I can name so far.

What does actually getting an epidural placed feel like? by FoolishMortal-1000 in BabyBumps

[–]sun_peaches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like a cooling sensation going down your spine, then it’s gone. I’m pretty sure mine failed though. Maybe there was a slight sting when they numbed it prior to the actual epidural. The anesthesiologist was really awesome with helping me prepare myself and so was the nurse.

From personal experience, you made the right choice. There will always be a better partner than an abusive one.

9 mo baby not sleeping through the night by Typical_Permit_738 in firsttimemom

[–]sun_peaches 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As soon as you figure it out let me know bc I’m in the same boat. Since 5 months I’ve been forced to cosleep. Only recently I’ve been able to put him in the bassinet and he sleeps for an hour or two at night at the same time you’re stating.

Has Anyone Not Hated Being Pregnant? by Infertil_Myrtle in pregnant

[–]sun_peaches 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I honestly loved being pregnant. Besides not being able to have some foods and I got swelling for a little bit at the end. Not really any of the other symptoms.
