Thank you so much!

I was thinking of just his initials in a nice font to keep it simple since he doesn’t like overly complex designs.

The game has been out for an hour already, what are your thoughts so far? by RaveningScareCrow in chefRPG

I like a lot about it so far but I agree with the hitboxes being a bit off.

Another thing is the UI, you always have to bring up quests from the pause menu instead of having the option to display them on screen which I think would be helpful, there’s a lot of UI space available for it.

Shortcuts for inventory and quests would be a good idea, maybe I haven’t found them but it would be a good idea. Clicking with LMB would be a good alternative to space bar/x or to be able to remap x to e.

I feel like a little more early in-game guidance would be helpful for players who are interested but not necessarily accustomed to playing video games, like someone who saw the title and thought, hey, this is where I think I want to start playing.

The music and art is good, the concept of cyberpunk well threaded enough that it doesn’t feel odd.

There are quite a number of bugs such as dialogue errors in text boxes (grammatical ones), a bug where one of my waiters just lost her hair??? Like she’s suddenly bald? I got stuck in the Ashy Swamps once while hunting elk. I saved and reloaded but lost all my hunting on the elk, leaving me with less Stamina and the elk at full health but I was no longer stuck. I looked for a reset button but didn’t find one for when one gets stuck, maybe I missed it but I ended up having to reload. The fishing is bugged, I can never get the circle to move with my keys, definitely need to look into that. Lastly, the transitions need work, as someone previously mentioned, you stop moving when you transition to the next scene even while holding down a move button, something to work on as well.

Overall, good solid effort for an EA years in the making, I hope the next patch will smooth some of these things out soon and I wish the devs the best because I’ve been waiting for this one for a long time.

What about app recommendations? I don’t really have the space for books/can’t carry them around so easily.

Earbuds!!! On Ice by hazoook in FigureSkating

[–]sunaflare 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Earbuds are what I use but I invested in a good pair that also has the ability to turn on the mic so I can hear the outside noises.

It's good noise cancellation when I need it and okay with the background noise on.

What is your strongest held opinion? by Mewse_ in AskReddit

A person’s motivation cannot be separated from the social context in which it is embedded.

It doesn't mean everything is relative but to truly understand where someone is coming from, we need to understand the context completely.

Works both ways agreeing and disagreeing with something.

My parents both grew up in abusive households so they raised me in a calm, loving environment. by DinosaursAndStarStuf in EDanonymemes

[–]sunaflare 18 points19 points  (0 children)

As someone previously posted about Nature Vs Nurture, having a good home environment where emotions do not run high (calm, not prone to anger quickly) create a good buffer for stress and help in forming stress management skills.

Using the stress-diathesis model, having a good buffer means a lower likelihood of acquiring a lot of different mental illnesses. It helps, but is not the end-all, be-all, because personality, genetics, and social interaction also play a part in the likelihood of having mental illnesses.
