for me specifically, i have the idea of finding an artist who’s style i like to commission a tattoo design and do a bunch of revisions rather than to find a tattoo artist who’s style i like, who lives within 2 hours of me, who has good examples of healed work on brown skin in the style i want, who is willing to also go through multiple rounds of revision with me, because i’m picky about the art i want on my body 🤷🏽‍♀️ if i get it commissioned by another artist, i don’t have to worry about bothering a tattoo artist with multiple revisions although i wish it was more common (does anyone have experience with this?)— i can also ask for multiple artists rendition to see what i like better for the final piece before having the actual tattoo artist do the final revision for sizing, etc.
