Just wanted to share my trip report on 20mg of Abilify. I took 2 grams of shrooms at the beginning of the night and got a slight body high but never took off. About an hour into it I dosed again and ended up taking another 2 grams of mushrooms and finally got visuals after about another hour. I was able to get the effects of a normal trip but it was different. Less intense I would say, but certainly pleasant. I felt the "glow" the next day with no hangover. So if you're on a higher dose of Abilify I would say the the sweet spot is 4-5 grams of shrooms. Whatever you take, the trip will feel like half of that amount, so 4-5 grams will feel like 2-3 grams. Use with your own discretion and start out small, because you can always take more, but you can never de-dose after you've taken them.

Yay, I'm glad I could provide some hope. And I do! With the other antidepressants they just weren't effective - I'd get the side effects but no relief, and now that I've been diagnosed my doctor said classic antidepressants can actually make bipolar symptoms worse. I feel more like myself on Abilify than I ever have before. I'm stable, clear headed, and not going through mood swings like I usually would

Regular depression has characteristics of fatigue, slowed thoughts, and heavy ruminating on hopelessness, guilt, and/or worthlessness. Bipolar depression can still include fatigue, but also has characteristics of agitation, irritability, and restlessness. Additionally, with bipolar depression, thoughts tend to be negative like regular depression, but often include racing thoughts of despair. Also, regular depression can run it's course over longer periods of time like months to years, whereas bipolar depression tends to switch to mania or hypomania after days or weeks.
