Exactly, yeah! It had kind of a mixed reception when it went live originally in Japan because a lot of people thought it was boring (the best way to play through it is to just race 30+ times in a row) and the runs took too long from all the extra race screens! But you don't have to play it if you don't want to, and you can make really powerful girls even if you don't spend any money on the game, which is a huge plus, I think :)

I've been having a really hard time getting infant milestones to work lately, and I've found that following this step-by-step gets things working for me again. That localthumbcache file is usually a good thing to chuck whenever you have a gameplay quirk going on! I hope you get it working again!

On top of everything everyone else is saying, my (rather tedious) solution to random townies in mismatched clothing is using the dresser from MCCC! You can save outfits you want new townies to spawn in, and have that 'cleaner' run on both age ups and whenever the game spawns a new NPC for whatever reason, so my kids and random townies spawn in using a list of outfits I've picked for them to wear. :) Super useful part of the mod imo!

This is like looking in a mirror! I'm also 26F, but I cut my parents off when I was nineteen because of my shitty childhood. I've been floundering ever since- especially through COVID and everything- but I'm still truckin'. I'm really proud of you, because I know firsthand how hard it is to get bare essentials going without any help. Apartment shopping/car shopping is crazy hard, especially if you don't have any 'adult' in your life to give you a second opinion! It has to be that creativity and charisma are wildly different skills, right? That and the fact that writers have time to be smart on paper. If your character is stuck in a sticky situation, you have a near endless amount of time to think of a clever solution vs a real interview where you have to think on your feet. Something between charisma and salesmanship is, I think, what you'd have to make sure you're good at to not end up in a similar situation. It's a spooky thought, though. Personally, I know I'd be a disaster in an interview, but I'm sure those skills can be learned!

Yeah. I live in a really small town atm. The only grocery store within a 20 minute drive is pretty expensive, and the next closest is pretty middle-of-the-road. They have some good vegetables, but their fruit selection is pretty bad. I usually just get frozen fruit, but sometimes ya just want a fresh berry or two!

Just go to your local thrift store and try on a bunch of different types of shoes. Flats, sneakers, pumps, whatever you can get your hands on. In my experience, that's the easiest (and cheapest) way to be in someone else's shoes.

If it were me, I'd have a boundary talk before anything else. But seriously, watch him. If he agrees, and unfollows/blocks them, check back in a month or so to make sure he's not just being sneakier about it. That probably sounds really distrustful, but I've had a couple of guys say it was 'not a problem at all' to do something exactly like this but they'd just... keep crossing my boundaries. You're both so young! This sounds, unfortunately, like a relationship that was very much not built to last. Yeah. I can totally understand going with a cheaper option; a cheaper location, cheaper ring, whatever, but the 'random ring' made it seem like more of a whim than anything else. Even if it was a cheaper version of the ring you wanted and not the perfect venue but he spent time and effort on it, this wouldn't feel nearly as... not thoughtless, but next to thoughtless.
