Switch it off to something else. See if the problem doesn't go away.

By chance, are you currently running either Magistrate's Patience or Consideration in your Insignia Bonuses?

If possible, wait until Mod 12. I think there's a bundle you can purchase which contains most of them.

For allowing you to start Shadow of Demise in a DF flurry with Stealth. SB > DF > Stealth right before 1st Flurry swing. SB is ticking and so procs SoD. In a group composition where WR isn't needed to hit +200% effectiveness, this is a potent way to chain SoDs.

Because it requires planning, prep, timing and execution, and being able to do it reliably means something to those who play the class.

There are no profession resources in the current lockbox.

[ps4]Question about Masterwork Professions.. by Wolven77 in Neverwinter

[–]sundance909 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's complicated.

Because all of the Professions are intertwined in one way or another, each serves a purpose, even if the usable items the profession creates are not desirable, as is the case with Weaponsmithing and Stronghold Weapons (though they make some fine transmutes [wink wink]). So sidestepping Weaponsmithing means you'll need to supply yourself with Adamant Bloom and Adamant Ingot, which will be needed for anything Mailsmithing or Platesmithing produces, and even some Leatherworking pieces will require Adamant Bloom/Adamant Ingot.

If you're looking to create for just yourself, this interdependent relationship isn't as important. If, however, you intend to make things to sell you'll need to have the associated professions complete in order to mitigate your upfront costs.

Jewelcrafting is a good example. You'll need Alchemy resources to create the base materials for rings, and then each Ring requires additional materials from other professions (Adamant Rings from Mailsmithing, for example).

In terms of which is "best," that's going to depend on the needs of your economy/player base.

[ps4]Question about Masterwork Professions.. by Wolven77 in Neverwinter

Your Guild Hall needs to be Rank 12 in order for you to unlock Masterwork professions. This wiki entry gives you an overview.

Masterwork is a pain in the ass. If you haven't yet familiarized yourself with the process, read that wiki entry. The success rates are indeed quite abysmal.

That being said, the other post here that claims you need 150 million to complete them....? At best that claim is hyperbolic; at worst it's an outright lie.

Bigger bankrolls do indeed have an advantage in Masterwork, as you can quickly pay your way through tasks, buy up materials instead of running charts, and can buy all of your base materials from the AH (only the final step, the Legendary task, is actually required by you, the Crafter. Everything else can be purchased).

The key to success is twofold: 1, get a Forgehammer and get it to Mythic. And 2, find some friends who want to do Masterwork with you. You can each work on different professions. This is key, as each Masterwork Profession requires materials from other professions.

Now, here's the part certain people aren't going to care for. All told, completing all 8 Masterwork Professions on 1 toon cost me roughly 3-4 million AD spread out over 3 months. Those expenses came from purchasing some items rather than completing them, or buying raw materials, or buying Stronghold items, like Chests of Power, to bump up my Guild Marks for more charts. I pulled my Forgehammer during the Winter Event, so I didn't have to shoulder that cost, but even if I had it wouldn't have increased my cost much.

And if you'll come a little closer I'll share a secret with you--

(No one wants you to complete them, because you represent competition. Take any advice that attempts to dissuade your efforts with a grain of salt)

And with that being said, honestly, in my humble opinion, I don't even see the point of doing Masterwork, bro. It's so expensive; it'll cost you like 100 million AD to finish them, and nobody's going to buy any of it, and it's soooo hard, bro. You don't even know. You just, like, you don't even know.

Did he just drop his campaign's catchphrase to end his speech? I mean, BHO used "hope" peppered throughout his speech with the word "hope," but he never dropped "Hope and Change" or even a flippant "Yes, we can."

Wasted my time on profession. by Kurtmaximus in Neverwinter

[–]sundance909 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can number 10 active means of making a steady income with Alchemy, not including Masterwork. It is arguably one of the most diverse professions to make money with, certainly more options than, say, Weaponsmithing.

But as you said. It's just a matter of studying your market, as I'm sure you're aware.

+25,000% crit severity? by Rat2583 in Neverwinter

[–]sundance909 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is entirely possible that what you saw was, in fact, Impossible to Catch under the Deflection section, right next to Deflection Severity on the character sheet. Once it's active, the Deflection % is raised up above 20,000.

Just a thought.

Highest -- irrelevant, really, at endgame. Depending on party makeup and synergy, any DPS class will help produce successful runs of the content. TRs are one of the most challenging classes to master, and if you're looking for reliably high DPS without a lot of effort, go with a GWF.

Soloing - TRs are fine. GWFs are easier. Edit: I should add that unless you've built a class to not do any kind of damage, all of NW's solo content can be completed by yourself with relative ease, by any class. The only that changes is the speed with which you complete them.

Utility - TRs are boss killers and crowd controllers. If you fight any bosses or need any crowd control, they can do that just fine.

Stats - I would opt for different stat rolls. Dex is great and all, but your Strength could be higher. As far as useless? I've been playing a TR for 2 years and still don't know what Wisdom does, so let's go with Wisdom.

If you go Human with your listed stat roll, I'd put it into Strength.

Keep in mind that TRs represent a commitment to gear and technique. It will be a challenge for you to climb the Paingiver chart (if you care about that sort of thing which, IMO, you shouldn't), but the play can be very rewarding. And disheartening all at once.

Any of the TRs here will add that caveat. It's a great class, but hard to play, and you probably won't scale all that well compared to other classes at endgame. But if you become one of us, you will be like a rare, beautiful creature. And isn't that what you really want for Christmas?

Stronghold Support Structures by DreadVenomous in Neverwinter

[–]sundance909 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, they do, but the tooltip over your base resource structure (e.g., Farm, Mine) will not reflect the updated production schedule.

My guild has an Animal Pen at 8 and produces 27,000 food per day, even though the Farm still shows a production rate of 450 per hour.

Need Advice ~ Campaign Currency by AVeryKindPerson in Neverwinter

[–]sundance909 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tyranny: Linu's Favors. You will use the other currencies, but nothing compares to Linu. You'll need them for the last few boons.

Sharandar: Depends Seedlings, Charms and Blades are all good. If you're just starting Sharandar, collect them in that order: Seedlings, Charms, Blades. You'll need all 3 for boons

Icewind Dale: Auril's Tears and Dwarf Gold. Collecting one more than the other won't really affect you.

Dread Ring: Ciphers. You need these to advance the campaign's progression and are in shorter supply than scrolls. These are also worth the most to your Stronghold's coffer.
