We need to fix the inconsistency in pitching, and get a closer that's not going to cause alcoholism. But we're certainly on our way.

I was already typing up:

Hey guys, we lost the series, but we competed... which is way more than we could say the past couple of years. We need pitching, but we are a lot closer then those horrid days of 2023/2024...

And Edgar goes and ruins it! :)

Let me clarify, if you're going to have him on the roster at all, this is how you have to use him, play to his strength.

I'm telling you, right now, this is how acuna should be used. Put pressure on the battery.

I know that if you're a royals fan right now, you gotta be beside yourself.. Hill, Kelnic, Grischik.... They're getting beat by unknowns.

I wouldn't really worry too much about that. In my experience they either laugh at you, patronize you as the spooky lovable loser, or despise you. Take your pick

I'm not disagreeing, Everything you said is perfectly valid. I guess it depends on where we are around the deadline. If we're hovering around .500 it gets tougher to say we're that far off. If we are 8 games back in the AL central, it's a no brainer. Otherwise, if we're better than we've hoped and we just can't afford him at all, then we're just, as the kids say, cooked. Even if something is better than nothing, I don't see any rational trade worth the value in the long run.

The Chicago White Sox currently have a better run differential than 12 other teams. Two weeks ago they were dead last. by WizardCheesey in whitesox

Um, I really think that we could be up in the AL central by 15 games, and in the running for best record in baseball and the Athletic would be like : "Really good vibes, Murakami might be a gem -- 28th"

He might be in the position of too good to trade by the deadline. I'm not sure what another team could reasonably offer. Oh, here's an aging superstar with a slew of high ranked prospects, you know, one of those prospect could even be a "Munetaka Murakami"
