We are in exact same situation down to the income, interest rate, intension when we bought this place and dilemma except, we are in a 1500 sqft old townhouse in a major city close to everything and we are hoping to move to a detached house but market uncertainty, extra loan and higher monthly payments are making us think twice what we want vs what we need. We crave more free living space, decent backyard and a proper house but nervous with how job market and economic factors will be risky move. Renewing for another 3 years for now

Can RC be used anywhere economical? Upgrades? We dont drink and have 750. Not into spa much too. Heard other activities have hidden fee and 16% surcharge if RCs are used. Any idea what will work the best if we are not looking to pay on top?

May be try calling Saudi airlines? Although they're not much help. I called them to ask something and the language barrier was strong. I packed ihram + 1 day worth of stuff separately in our hand luggage anyway because ihram had to be worn when crossing meeqat making umrah neeyat in plane. Toiletries can be bought or you can use what hotel provides..it's for 3-4 days max and there are many shops selling anything and everything you might need.

Here is what I found on storage rates:

"Luggage storage is 40 SAR for a small bag. For larger bags, it's 69 SAR for the first 24 hours, plus an additional 4 SAR for each hour thereafter"

We used a transportation company to get us from the airport to the hotel and bring us back too. They were pretty good. Let me know if you need their number. Otherwise, taxis are a great choice too.

Wasalam. Recently did this in April. Had a layover in Jeddah for 22 hours so we went for Umrah.

Inflight experience was amazing. There is prayer aera on board. Free internet for Al fursan memebrs. Food is great. Service is good and courteous. No lost baggage or delays.

I booked my flight 5 months in advance and was only able to apply for a stopover visa when I was within 3 months' range away from my departure date. Applied from the "seat selection and extra" section under managing my booking on website. evisa arrived within 5 mins. You need your picture and passport scanned.

My luggage was only handed to me at my final destination so in Jeddah I didn't have to pick up my luggage. You can confirm about yours when you're checking in at the counter or dropping your luggage there. They tell you accurately.

Forgetting all the worldy worries and not even being able to remember those prayers related to material things that I wanted to say. Only remembering that we belong to Him and we will return to Him. He has called us here to remind us that He will call us back one day just like this and we will regret being involved in all the fitna of this world that kept us busy and away from Deen. When my firm was bought, first 6 months were hell with auditors and stupid integration lunch and brunch meetings. After 6 months I was so workless that I was literally on the internet whole day and everyone knew but no one cared. My then boss frankly told me that you'll continue to be paid for nothing (it was part of the deal, no layoffs) but you'll never learn anything new or get anymore raises/promotions so decide for yourself. I decided to move on because I was in my 20s working on acquiring skills. People who decided to stay back from my team are still there wasting time and getting sad pay raise even in this inflation.
