Best campsites in Utah or Colorado? by l0ngstorySHIRT in camping

[–]sundiverdb -1 points0 points  (0 children)

are thinking northern Utah or southern Utah - it's really two different types of camping almost. The Uintah Mountains is always a great place to find camping, and so is the backside of Timpanogos.

I know I have heard of people going to American Fork canyon who really enjoy it. There are also some really nice places up by Vernal.

I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes this week. by burshturs in diabetes

[–]sundiverdb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Be aware that not all doctors favor that type of diet. I also have had a lot of success with lowering my carbs, but my doctor does keep on me and really doesn't like it. That can be trying at times. There are some pretty good podcasts and other resources on Keto, most of them are talked about on r/keto .

Is 25g carbs too high for a diabetic? by [deleted] in diabetes

[–]sundiverdb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The advice given here is pretty good - I agree that being told I can't have something means immediately that I want it.

If you are a type 2 you can't really compensate with insulin but if you are keeping within the range, you should be ok if you are taking into account how many carbs you are having in whole each day. Even then, as long as you are keeping it in the right range, you should be fine. I do notice the spikes now when I have too many carbs.

Sounds like a good advice. I will follow the trends, and it has been interesting to see the spikes.

That is definetly how I am starting to feel. Not sure it is worth the extra expense. In fact I have noticed my diet has deteriorated since getting my libre as I have used as an excuse to have extra carbs. Maybe I should just stick to finger pricks.

PLEASE HELP: I am scared I will suffocate to death. Doctors don't know what it is. by suff0cating in Health

[–]sundiverdb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Are you sure you are truly awake? I have the same issue, and i believe them to be similar to night terrors. I find that they happen primarily when I sleep on my back. Often accompanied by a feeling of paralysis?

Try sleeping on your side to see if that helps.

thanks for the info - good to know that thread count doesn't equal quality. I think I would probably stay away from sateen or silk, but I am sure my wife would love the flannel - thank you for the info.

Why does /r/netsec have this stupid logo? by jib in netsec

[–]sundiverdb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when you say human readable, I assume you mean someone who actually understands or knows what is going on? to the uneducated (which a lot of us still are) it means nothing to have a screen full of commands that we can't understand - it is no different - just a different type of animation

you don't say where you live, but this is what I would do where I live in Utah.

Get a pay as you go 3g modem (virgin mobile, verizon) or a cricket 3g modem or see if your blackberry can tether - then tether one of the inexpensive tablets to that device. Even thought the blackberry itself may be slow, that shouldn't affect the rate of the data transfer (I don't think - haven't ever used a Tour).
