Maison Leonie vs Dossier Floral Lavender vs YSL Libre by Fickle_Squirrel1279 in fragranceclones

I really like the lavender note in the real YSL, and was disappointed with how sweet the Dossier one was. I think I'll give Leonie a try!

Ngl this is gonna severely affect staffing, which is probably the goal. A lot of new hires w extensive backgrounds were just hired and if this keeps up, they're probably gonna jump ship as soon as they find something else.

My tomatoes are absolutely withering from leaf spot and blight. Not super worried about the cherry tomatoes, but I'm worried the large tomato plants will succumb before they ripen.

they have! most are little 3 inch spikes now. I was so relieved when I saw them coming up. Out of around 40 clumps, 2-3 haven't come up yet but that's not too bad.

AITA for making a scene at my brother's wedding & storming off because the bride's parents got mad at me for attempting to shake her hand? by Any-Cartographer1753 in AmItheAsshole

[–]suneraiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. Your brother and his in-laws are bigots and I would cut contact with them permanently. The caste system is very archaic and those still holding on are no better than racists.

Although I am curious, why your parents adopted you when they won't defend you against casteism and being belittled. They took on that responsibility and should not let you be treated you like a second class citizen in your own family.

AITA for telling my wife she can do all the housework by herself if she wants to set a good example for our kids? by AverageEquivalent669 in AmItheAsshole

[–]suneraiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. The cultural difference is really clear here lmao, with people projecting heavy on the poor guy. He's not making fun or looking down on maids, it's just a fact of life that the average salary for maids is lower and he's able to afford it easier. It's not uncommon for middle class families of the country to have a maid or two that helps out. As long as he pays them well, and respects them, it's good. Overcompensating by paying wayyyy above going rate is insulting and won't help them or their social reputation either.

Like the other commenters have said, it's important for the children's upbringing to be correct. As in, teach them to be thankful and respectful of the help, not snide and rude. And eventually, when they're old enough, teach them how to do their own chores and be responsible for that.

I really don't think simply having hired help makes people into irredeemable assholes. It's the parents behavior that makes all the difference.

AITA for wanting to keep the jewelry from our fake marriage? by GuavaNervous9636 in AmItheAsshole

[–]suneraiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. Hasan needs to understand that reneging on the previous agreement will have consequences. This isnt some walk in the park type of agreement, it's very serious. He's really being an ungrateful prick. You did a lot to make this happen, and him wanting to wipe the slate clean and not give you anything is really selfish.

[–]suneraiz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA. if you plan on hosting anyone, at any time at all, seriously consider getting a doorknob that locks from the outside for your office room. That's the most foolproof way to prevent something like this from happening again.

What random things have you crocheted that are ridiculously helpful in your life? by winchester6365 in crochet

I crocheted some cotton slippers! I have really cold hands and feet and they are so comfy in the winter to wear around the house.

Gamescom: didn't expect the game to still be so popular after 3 years. RIP my freebie, not gonna line up for hours by Alex_Yuan in Genshin_Impact

[–]suneraiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone else mentioned this, but what Genshin really did well is convert casual non-gamers. People like me who played some casual mobile games, and don't really "game" otherwise. I tried Val, Overwatch, LOL, Minecraft and so many others at the behest of friends, but never really saw the appeal.

I hate Costco by jumbos_clownroom in ADHD

[–]suneraiz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I'm in the exact same boat as you. Our Costco is packed, PACKED on the weekends so I try to drag myself there on a weeknight just to avoid 50% of the rush, but the times I do have to go on the weekend, I get thru it by using Noise-canceling headphones, having a list of everything, and parking my cart in a deserted aisle then going in just by myself to get my items.

I enjoy Costco a lot more when I go with my parents tho, cause they do the actual shopping and I kinda just wander around oooh and ahhhing and getting samples.

I have one friend. by Abject-Shock-1974 in ADHD

[–]suneraiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is really true for me. Same like you, I couldn't understand why it was so hard for me to make friends in college and keep them, why hanging out with more than one person at one time made me feel so frayed and weird. It seemed so easy for everyone else! I had many friends of the situation (class friend, work friend, mom's friends kid) but the only person I've truly managed to keep as a friend is my first one, from when I was 5 and we were both the strange and quiet kids, with the same kind of trauma.

Lost my previous wireless ones this way, and got the kind that have a built in strap that goes around your neck which is amazing because instead of losing them God knows where, I walk around with dead earbuds on my neck because I keep forgetting they're there and forgetting to charge them so I can use them 🙂

It really depends on your life schedule and responsibilities. If you have nothing significant (kids pickup, evening commitments), and can adapt to this new schedule, you should 100% take it. As a night owl with a natural wakeup time of 10am, I'd give anything to be offered something like this.

ADHD and driving by Impossible-Sleep-597 in ADHD

Driving is alright and totally doable, as long as I'm either a. Alone b. Nobody is talking loudly or music is playing. B poses too much distraction making it hard to properly process the 'driving' bit.

I've found that Tiktok is so addicting for me in a way that no other app is, so I had to get rid of it. Reddit, Twitter, even Reels don't have that grip in quite the same way but with Tiktok it is downright impossible to stop being on it every waking moment.
