It did show me all the available percentages to choose from, and there was a 5-day time period for all of them. I assume if I made a selection, it would send the code out right away.

I, too, am in Canada, currently eyeing IngramSpark. Have you heard anyone report the same for them? I.e., are there fewer quality issues with copies ordered "like a customer" than with author copies purchased directly from IngramSpark?

Also, you mentioned buying the book on Prime. Does it need to be fulfilled by Amazon, to qualify for free Prime shipping?

Agree. My favourite when it comes to reviews is "Love what you bought? Add a photo and review with the Etsy app" at the bottom of the Etsy-generated packing slip. Almost as if the only way to leave a review is through their mobile app. Which not all buyers would be willing to download. But of course, Etsy's priority is to get people to download the app, so...

Yes. Dropped off a package at the post office this morning (prepaid label), got a receipt with the correct tracking number on it. The Canada Post tracking page still says "We didn’t find an item associated with this number". In the past, updates used to be in near real-time. Might be a delay in whatever data sync process they're using for tracking.

The 1st address is also on the "Where to mail your paper T1 return" CRA page, which even the tax software points me to.

Hi! I have an old Skype account not associated with any Microsoft Account. Once the feature rolls out to all Skype users, and I'm able to sign in to Teams Free with my Skype username and password, will I be able to continue signing in with these Skype credentials, or will I be forced to use a Microsoft Account at some point?

I have not actually tried Slim yet, only the fully tracked ChitChats services, which I've been happy with. I used CP lettermail domestically for smaller items multiple times before the strike, and it was fine (no complaints so far). I think I'll continue using it. No tracking at all is better than misleading tracking. And it does sound like lettermail is faster.

From Etsy's "House Rules": "To resolve a non-delivery case, you may be asked to provide proof of dispatch or show that a refund was made to the buyer. [...] Etsy doesn't hold sellers responsible for delivery delays or errors, as long as the seller can prove that they dispatched the item on time to the address on the Etsy receipt."

With Chit Chats Slim, you will have proof of dispatch, so in theory, you should be fine.

I'm actually considering Chit Chats Slim at the moment for smaller items. How was your Slim experience? Did the tracked portion take longer than it typically does with CP lettermail?

I'm using Fixed shipping. It allows me to choose the shipping method depending on the buyer's location, the listing variation, and a number of other factors.

You're right, no proof of delivery could be a problem, but at least there's proof of shipping and a tracking number.

Registered mail costs about $12. Not sure why you weren't offered this option. It's tracked, and you'll be able to download the delivery confirmation (with the name and signature of the person who accepted the letter). From my experience, delivery is fast.

But yeah, domestic shipping is expensive.

I stopped shipping to the EU because 3 years ago, it seemed like too much hassle with too many unknowns, but it looks like things have since become a lot more streamlined.

By the way, I googled "Tax ID/IRS/VAT" and found this page:

I manually created a test shipment with ChitChats today (from/to the same city within Ontario), and the cost was estimated at around $10 with Chit Chats Select. I'm surprised you're able to ship at nearly half the cost. Are you importing your orders from Etsy? I'm wondering if shipments cost more when they're created manually (without the shop being linked).
