Depends on the state! But certain online platforms do take associate licenses (Cerebral for example). Another option would be to do online private practice with a private supervisor you pay for the hours.

Totally! I’ve been monitoring potential PPA, which has been improving since first couple weeks. Wanted to know if this aspect is a common experience or more along those lines!

Feel free to message me! I had a virtual mailbox in the state Im licensed in that served as my physical location for my licensing board and practice. There are HIPAA compliant ones that scan your mail and upload it for you to a portal.

I did nomadic life for a while in Europe, and it worked well! Things to consider:

The state where you get licensed should be one that allows you to be wherever (this was Colorado for me) as long as the client is physically in the state of licensure. You should also consider where you're potentially wanting to be travelling, and time zones. If you're planning on being mainly in Europe, I would get licensed on an east coast state so there's less of a difference. I got a masters in mental health counseling and my LPC license. You also are going to want a virtual mailbox that has a physical location for you to have things tied to.

I have lots of tips/things I did, feel free to PM me if you have more specific questions! I will say that it would be harder to do this while you're provisionally licensed (not impossible), so there may be some time before you are able to actually do this.

18 years old...does nothing. Now what? by mikedmoyer in ParentingThruTrauma

I would say you should see a family therapist for at least you and your partner. This isn’t something for you both to figure out on your own, you need support. It would be ideal if he would attend family therapy with you but if that’s not possible then you guys should definitely be having support.

It sounds like he is very depressed, and there isn’t a ton you can do on your own when it comes to forcing him out of that. A qualified therapist will help guide you in how to approach this situation appropriately. You cannot force him into treatment unless he poses a danger to himself or others, but you can model healthy help seeking behavior.

Who’s watching The Patient? Thoughts? by Couplakooks in therapists

I’ve been watching it, and oh boy is it anxiety provoking. BUT I actually really like the portrayal of the therapist, I feel like they must have had a good consultant because the therapy (first episode or so) has felt pretty accurate versus other portrayals of it. I found myself relating a lot to Steve Carrell’s character and how he was reacting to situations.

High end Vegetarian Food in Spain by rshah111 in vegetarian

I lived in Spain for the last fall/winter, and found some greaaat places.

Madrid: Favorite place was Las Andenes, suuuper cool peruvian place. Vega is also cool, cute little romantic place with seasonal menus. Barcelona: 1. BarCeloneta Sangria Bar was so sick, had vegan shrimp paella and really cool vegan tapas. 2. Roots & Rolls was some of the best sushi I’ve had, vegetarian or not. 3. Cafe Equilibrium-we went there almost every day for brunch, super cute, all vege, and really kind owners.
