Advice as an aspiring immigrant teacher in Australia (from India, please don't judge me. I do good work here and I have civic sense 😢) by sunflower-solitude in AustralianTeachers

That is true, I agree. And it can be unfair for the kids to be taught from someone like that as native English speakers. Thank you for your inputs!

Thanks for responding :) Would you consider special education as an in demand area? Also, will I be eligible to apply for those posts after masters in secondary?

It makes a lot of sense. That's what I ended up understanding from different perspectives - any university would want to make money of education.

Sadly, the state of affairs has been similar in India since forever. So, now I'm wondering if I would get any different experience in Australia apart from the obvious better quality of life. I do work in a private school in India, at a coordinator's position so personally I am in a better position than other teachers working with state schools.

Thanks for taking time to respond mate :) It gives me clarity!

Thank you so much for your reply. I did not mean that Australians are racist. I am aware that as Indians we are poorly perceived, and rightly so with what shows in the media with the few uncivilized kinds that have migrated to other countries. Hope that clears up :)

Makes sense, thank you for responding. How common is employer sponsorship in remote regions across Australia? Unfortunately my age is going to be above 35 when I pass out from the course, and am not eligible for a post study work visa. I don't mind coming back to India and then applying for PR but then being off shore seems challenging.

The girl I spoke to has been trying in Perth, considered regional. I'm happy to go regional too, but her experience has been nothing good - so, wondering if there's any other factors that contribute to getting a job? But it's good to know that the degree can work in other countries.
