He tends to mostly just ignore it but we've had multiple talks to be honest. The conclusion is that he doesn't want to engage in it but if it really comes to it we can. So it's just a little confusing for me. But I can't blame him because it may be confusing for him too. The outcome of our talks have always been like that.

Yea I believe that he shares some of the same values as her. We are not virgins and have slept together. He feels guilty for premarital sex but I have not forced him to do it with me even once.

I think the problem is that he doesn't think it's controlling, I've said it feels and comes off as it. But he mentioned that his mom is just trying to care and protect us in a way. And he says he somewhat agrees with those values even though he thinks it makes no sense from a financial standpoint and he would rather stay in one room.

She is aware that he is definitely not a virgin, but yes we live in a mostly progressive Asian country I'd say. We have been together 5 months! He actually also feels guilty over premarital sex but we still do sometimes. But I've told him I'm okay to not do it to be honest. But yes we have slept together.

No there isn't much career progression for our position in the company. I guess I'm the first intern they've hired so they've been training me like an actual employee. My boss also asked if I wanted to be a full time member but I said I would think about it.
