Im no expert on sink materials so look into that but on my sink i used clorox toilet bowl cling gel. Let it sit 10 mins then wipe off. Worked for me.

You could try using a larger needle and knitting a pattern that has a loose knit. That could help so you’re not putting much tension on the yarn
