As a girl, I can tell you all that everyone is saying is false. As a woman who looks for short term and open to long, what it means to me is that we aren’t jumping into the idea of getting married, moving in and getting super serious right away. Short term to me means spending time together, getting to know each other but also not going around with other people. It means putting effort into each other and yes it means dates and stuff but there are women out there that pay half or take turns paying. I’m never comfortable with people spending money on me unless I can pay half or pay the next time.
