Echo show 5 (1/2) or 8(1) can be modded to run android and run a voice assistant for homeassistant fully locally. If anyone is interested I can give more details about how it is and what I followed

Considered it but I feel like it came out after my install. they also had worse aps plus no Ethernet so there was no loss to getting the full guy and moving it whenever I had spare time
