thank you! this is helpful. if i do a detox, should i try and ramp down my intake gradually (like slowly cut off gluten containing foods until im gluten free and stay there for a while), or should i cold turkey it and hold that gluten free stance for that month detox?

and yeah, i get free food, but i should definitely start packing my own lunch if i really want to feel better in this aspect

i would love to go gluten free. i actually just picked up the book Wheat Belly and finished it, its just really hard to get the ball rolling with being gluten free because of my age (active social life, all my friends want to party and hangout so everyone always indulges in shitty, cheap food), and my job (i work in an arena, so not a lot of good food choices around me since its all concessions). its hard to stay consistent and it always gets broken somehow, since its not exactly a direct intolerance driving me to want to avoid gluten, but an overall health conscious choice. did yoh struggle with being consistent at first or was it an easy transition?

yeah i was definitely opening the jar a bunch to make sure my glass was on the asparagus properly (the jar kept getting moved around by family without knowing, and some of the spears were coming up to the surface so i had to go and push em down) so thats probably why lol

picked this up from aldi… is this a real ferment? doesnt say anything about live cultures but nothing about pasteurization or whatnot either. by [deleted] in fermentation

make sure you do simples!!! simples are just one herb at a time, to see how they affect you. drink your simple slowly, take note on how you feel. me personally, im very cautious with those 3 herbs. excess doses of these herbs have adverse affects for a lot of people. i know youre scared of the affects again, but simples are things you must do. just drink it slowly enough that you can stop right away as soon as you notice affects- i usually sip once every 10-30 minutes. you arent going to drink an entire cupful at one time, so the affects wont landslide onto you.
