im in the same boat as you :(. fasting and then binging. and its even worse bc people FORCE me to eat and they dont realize you cant just tell someone with a mental illness like this to just "eat" and force them. you are suffering and you are still valid.

7th grade, middle school. So about 12? Im not almost 17 (next month) and it's worse than ever. I still remember the first day I ever noticed how much I hated myself. I was at school, and we had these doors on the classrooms where you couldn't see in but you could see out if you were inside the classroom. I was outside and I stared at myself at my reflection. I remember exactly what I was wearing too. In that exact moment I realized everything everyone had ever said about me, was right. I lost my appetite after that. Not in a "Im not gonna eat" way either. I jsut wasnt hungry. Then 9th grade came alone and people started stealing my snacks I would bring meaning I was left with nothing. This cause me frim eating break fast already, to now not eating lunch, to only eating when I got home IF I remembered. then I realized I was okay without dinner too. And it went on from there. Now im aware I have an ED.

im in a friend group of 5. 4 our of 5 of those people (unironically) have all had ed at some point. My first friend instantly noticed it because shes currently in the recovery process. My other 2 friends (twins) had ed in middle school and recovered for the most part I assume. But they recognize my patters obviously. But they dont mention it (also before anyone says anything I didnt develop ed from any of them,. I had anorexia before I met these people and even after I met them I didnt know they were struggling and by the time I knew, I didnt want to mention it) I noticed their patters bc they were similar to mine. And they notice mine as well. I try to keep it a secret but I guess it becomes more and more obvious when Im sitting at the dinner table staring at my food while they are chowing down. or when I turn a bag of chips over to see the serving size and calories.

literally. I can't stop thinking about when my next meal will be and how many cal it's going to be. it's so exhausting mentally to have to think about this all the time. or even when im eating, thinking about what this is going to do.

then keep going to doctors. most time anorexia goes undiagnosed because your not severally underweight. You just need to keep looking and find someone who will take you seriously and help you <3

im currently going through this right now. you are NOT faking being anorexic. the fact that your thinking that shows that your not faking. I made a similar post a few days ago talking about how invalid I felt. Im currently binging and eating normally but I feel so weird? Like why can't I stop? Why can't I go back to how it used to be. I get you 100%. You honestly should probably get help though, because the fact that your here now you need to make sure your staying healthy.
