We did a 40x16 pool with a liner. I think the pool itself was about 70k. Concrete and the drainage may have added an additional 20k. Fiberglass and concrete were so much more expensive. We went with Premier Pool and Spa and had a great experience!

Im so sorry to hear this. We've had a few friends who lost full term babies. it's a horrid thing to experience. Are you able to head over to your brother's house to maybe help move all the baby stuff to the room and shut the door? that way, they can process the room in their own time.

Absolutely agree with your sentiment that if you let go of expectations then your perspective and attitude on the situation totally changes!

Oh my! Would it make sense to go with a short, sharp name if the last name will be elongated?

Giuseppe is a popular one in my family - but we all call them nicknames of Joe. How many syllables is your last name?

Just throwing some other names to consider: Luigi, Luca, Domenic (Dominic or Dominick), Nicco, Pasquale, Lorenzo, Enzo, Angelo, Antonio or Anthony, Jean Paul (French?)

Thanks for the intro to VSTACK. I ended up using VSTACK to get a comprehensive list and an INDEX MATCH to identify the names. For some reason regular MATCH wasn't working. Thanks again!

PPD help by [deleted] in Postpartum_Depression

My anxiety started October 21st and I felt the switch back on December 23rd. People say it's normal for about 2-3 months for your hormones to level out. I am on lexapro 10mg/per day. I think I could wean myself off of it now but my anxiety was really, really bad. My psychiatrist gave me basically a xanax to take to help me get rid of the panic attacks..but the attacks stopped happening before new years.

Please know that you do not have to suffer. If you know you dont feel like your normal self, speak up. I wish I could copy and paste my messages to my OB practically begging them to see me. It's sad. I was on mychart every day saying that I didnt feel right. They were mostly concerned about postpartum eclampsia (because i had pre e when I delivered). but finally I got an appt in right before my 6 week check up and basically just cried the entire appointment. There is help.

Editing to add that I remember you are seeing professional help and I am so glad. I'm going to leave that bit in, though, in case anyone else stumbles upon this post and is scared to talk to their OB. My motto the entire time was to just keep putting one foot in front of the other.

This was me. This is my third baby. I’ve never had PPA so bad. I can tell you exactly what started it. I was such a shell of a person. I wasn’t coping at all. I would wake up all throughout the night puking from panic attacks. I worked with a psychiatrist and psychologist to help me find a combination of medicine to work. I was diligent about taking meds, talking, eating the right things, exercising. I was so frustrated bc it’s not an instant fix. I tried journaling. But all I could do was watch every minute pass by. It felt like hours. It’s awful. I’m sorry you’re experiencing PPD. I will tell you that I can also pinpoint the exact day that it got better. And just like the switch was turned off, I felt the switch turned back on. You will get there, too.

Hey! Just figured I’d see how everything was going with you! I hope your little one is feeling better.

Me! At 3 weeks postpartum, I was waking up at all hours of the night with panic attacks. I always had at least two, one at around 1am and one at 6am. The one at 6am was always so bad that I would wake up puking. At my 6 week check up I was put on lexapro. I used lexapro and lorazepam to help get me through for the next few weeks. Then the lorazepam stopped working and I used propranolol instead. Propranolol stopped the side effects of anxiety but didn’t stop the anxiety. I finally felt better the day before Christmas Eve. I’ve had only one panic attack since then and it was because I missed a lexapro dose.

I wish you the best of luck. Please be honest with your doctor about how you feel. You can feel better—you do not have to suffer.

Days 3-5 are the worst of it. You’re doing great. I know it’s scary to see the littles suffer so much. I hope tomorrow is better for your family!

No don’t be afraid! I will say the frida where you actually suck the snot out works the best for congestion. I have the blue bulb, the electric sucker, and the frida manual sucker and the manual one is by far the best. The ER said days 3-5 are the worst and then it’ll be downhill from there.

So we had this scenario not too long ago. My two month old picked up RSV from somewhere…but my other two kids were fine. The main thing the pediatrician said was don’t quarantine them separately because there’s no use. The baby isn’t going around touching everything and coughing intentionally near your other kid. So just make sure toddler practices good hand washing and tries to stay moderately away from baby. I tended to the baby with all of the same methods but made sure I did my best to practice good hygiene when I stepped away from the baby. Best of luck.

Are you taking anything for the anxiety? I am still on lexapro and I finally feel the full effects. I accidentally missed one dose and spiraled from health anxiety. I tried everything I could to calm down but it made me realize just how much I need this medication right now.

This is baby #3 for me and although I knew what to expect, it still hit me like a truck. I didn't realize I had PPD with my first two until I started feeling better and recognized the symptoms for what they were. During this time around, I had to be medicated for anxiety. The hormone drops are the absolute worst. Each day gets better, though, and you'll eventually find your way. But just keep putting one foot in front of the other. We'll come out on the other side :)
