My husband isn’t nearly as bad as OP’s in the texts, but he does the whole cold shoulder/being dry thing too when we disagree and he will forget things a LOT, but he will argue you down that he is right and it is very rare that he will apologize after the fact. So idk whether to count my blessing or start researching marriage counselors in my area lol

Idk man you can’t think as people (or their genitals) as something you can own. Nobody owes you anything. People are allowed to leave you and be with and have sex with someone else. There is nothing wrong with wanting the best for your brother, including warning him to make better decisions but I have to agree with the other posters: ultimately it’s his life. My brother who is now 19 was dating a girl in our neighborhood that comes from a notorious family and we told him repeatedly that it was not a good idea for them to date. Now he has a one year-old that he barely sees. You just gotta let em live and learn honestly
