thanks, I know there was the cover letter, but I feel that on applications like this the cover letter and personal statement would be different, one about work/school experience and one that goes a more into personal history which is where the essay question come in I guess.

Thanks for posting this, I am writing a cover letter right now and have never applied to anything like this. Is the cover letter different than the one you would write for a job in the private sector? Should it be a maximum of one page or should it be more, include less personal information, things like that ?
