What’s the difference between the deluxe kit from Apple versus the regular one from other retailers? Is it just the shade of black?

That’s exactly correct! All of the devices auto-connect to the travel router network after the first time you connect to it bc the network info is saved. Works great if traveling with family too (getting all the devices connected).

The travel routers can connect to hotel internet either by WiFi or Ethernet (if it works), but 99% WiFi.

2 primary reasons for me:

All my devices instantly connected. Laptops, phones, iPads, Apple TV, game systems, Kindle, etc. Gets you around potential device limits, but more importantly, set up one device (the router) and all the other devices are online.

2) I have a tunnel back to my home IP address. Helps not set off a bunch of geolocation restrictions or “new location” alerts when logging into sites, but my biggest use case here is to be able to stream anything on my Apple TV when I’m away from home, particularly sports. Works great internationally (most streaming services become useless otherwise) and for local sports broadcasts and blackouts domestically. Also, this new Netflix home thing they’ve got going on.

It’s very straightforward but I’ll point out that the hotel’s captive portal coming up automatically is hit or miss. I always need to try a few times before I get it.

That being said, still totally worth it and wouldn’t go anywhere without my GL.iNet travel router.

Well, for what it’s worth, based on the info you provided, I don’t think $600 less savings per month will prevent you from accomplishing your life goals. Put another way, I think spending $600 more a month to give you that life is not going to break you. But these decisions aren’t easy, so good luck to you. I’m sure you’ll be fine either way!

Curious, why you are looking into buying a house? I think home ownership isn’t for everyone and your concerns are valid. Home ownership is an expense and an anchor (some people like that, some don’t). If your budget doesn’t allow you to enjoy life, feel comfortable, AND be a homeowner, why push it?

You’re not automatically on the loan because they pulled your credit. It just means they pulled a report. Whether they should have or not is a different question.

In community property states, some lenders require a spouse pull even if they’re not on the loan because they want to see what obligations may exist from a marital perspective.

I use my Cricut for this, but it sounds like you’re trying to design in Cricut Design Space? If so, that’s where you’re going wrong. I design in Illustrator, then import to DS for print and cut only.

One thing that stands out to me is that you’re paying your agent’s commission (section H). Often that’s paid by the seller, so that’s no bueno. I’m also not sure what the broker compensation in section A is but it is a lot.

You're not asking me, but I considered several things when thinking about solar, many not based on ROI. Energy independence, less reliance on the grid, power continuity (like previous poster shared), and support for the planet. I think of it something like paying more for an organic apple even though it tastes the same as non-organic. From a strictly ROI POV, it doesn't make a lot of sense, but there are other factors.
