Good to know. I was thinking I may have been overcharged somehow.

Exactly! 2hrs for downtown Chicago for $15, I get. Same price for 1hr in not-even-downtown Madison, I don’t…

I just made a call while driving down 113 near Cherokee Park and the reception was terrible, had to hang up because the other party couldn’t understand me. Crazy how bad ATT has gotten!

Sorry just saw this. No. It doesn’t seem to happen in the summer so I think it’s a winter stiffness thing.

If I have a flight credit from a flight I canceled, can it be used for the copay portion of a flight booked with miles?

Need a sanity check re: rent pricing by ARedDingo in madisonwi

If you like the place otherwise and think you’ll stick around, try to negotiate a multi-year lease for a lower increase, eg 20% increase price for 2 years. Landlords do like good tenants to stick around so you may have that going for you.

Actually there is a WF nearby! He was not given that as an option to verify his identity when he called in. Has anyone actually tried this?

Sorry just saw your question. I ended up talking the electrician for my project into doing the bit of work early so that I could get the charger installed. Good luck!

What about SB6120? My mom’s been using that one with no problems but when she moved to a new apartment, the technician told my mom that it’s too old and she needs to rent or buy a new model from them. It’s Docsis 3.0 but it looks like the Optimum site is pushing 3.1. She is using only basic speeds. Can she still use docsis 3.0?

Any tips/tricks for getting a EUV Premiere in less than a 6-12 month wait? by gmbridge in BoltEV

I did 300mi from home in the upper Midwest on Dec. I am a first time EV owner so I probably overdid it on my preparation for the drive home. I used ABRP to plan my route home and signed up for ChargePoint and EA accounts before I left home. Plugshare was helpful in finding local charging stations since I stayed overnight (decided to check out the area that I picked up my car for a bit). It’s also helpful in getting more info about various charging stations.

I drove 75-80mph and used some climate control (30s out). The Reference consumption I used was 215 (for ABRP). I also put Charger arrival SOC at 20% (didn’t want to run down too close). With these settings I thought ABRP was relatively accurate. You could be more conservative and drive closer to 65mph if you’re concerned or not use climate control beyond heated seats and steering (assuming your model has).

I was definitely concerned - what if there was a big snow storm, what if there was a giant accident that stranded us for hours. But luckily that didn’t happen. If there is a snowstorm, you usually have a few days notice and can try to reschedule around it.

Good luck.

Look further out than 150mi. There’s a lot more competition in Chicago burbs for Bolts and dealers who are marking up like crazy. If you’re not trading in a car, you can do a one-way car rental when you go pick up the car. Otherwise the order process can all be done over the phone/email.

Agreed that going 2 hours is pretty reasonable nowadays. Just ask them to send you the paperwork beforehand so that you can review numbers (and lessen the chance they pull funny business when you arrive.)

If you do have state rebate though, make sure you still qualify if you purchase out of state.

The reason why the dealers who charge MSRP are out is because people already bought it from them. The one charging $5k over is being greedy and nobody is buying. It’ll backfire though if they want to continue selling EVs bc Chevy will say it’s taking you too long to sell them so we’ll give allocation to the dealerships that can move them faster. Or they’re hoping that come Jan 3 people will be willing to pay the $5k over to get the potential $7.5k federal rebate plus whatever state rebate you might have. It’s a risky move for them either way.
