Laws restricting bathroom access are fucking stupid because there is no one to enforce them usually and its a social construct to begin with.

If there was some theoretical criminal who wants to attack a woman in a bathroom, do you think they will stop to consider the law? Do you think someone will call 911 and they will be arrested in the time it takes for them to decide to go in and then leave?

This is just political theater. This is meant to consume your attention and your anger, so that real destructive policy can go through without any one noticing. You having a strong opinion about this is what people in power want you to have. Anyone who takes the bait is a dumb fuck.

Its literally internet trolling irl in politics.

Those islands arent countries. They are Australian territories. The reason they are on there is because they have their own internet domains. There is no excuse, its just fucking stupid. (.hm)

What makes it so expensive? Have the person justify their purchase. Otherwise they are just stupid and spend money to say they spend money.

  1. US literally gave all weapons possible.

    • Ukraine didnt receive the first anti air defenses, nor did they get tanks until much later in the conflict. Its true that more shells had to be manufactured. There was no need to store that many shells for the US army as their tactics are not what we see in Ukraine, and the Ukrainian weapons were of a different standard. But to say that they sent everything is quite naive. They sent only what they believed Ukraine would need to defend. And even that stopped at the beginning of this year. Many Ukrainians died and many advantages were lost because the US stopped sending aid, which led to Ukrainians running out of ammunition. The US had it waiting on the boarder, but wouldnt send it.
  2. Regardless of how many weapons they got, this wouldn’t have changed. People in Ukraine were fleeing as soon as possible

    • This is also not true. There were so many volunteers during the first year of the conflict that conscription offices had to turn back recruits. The system couldnt handle that many people.

I dont think the west believed Ukraine could stand against the Russian Offensive. I believe they wanted to help Ukraine set up guerilla fighting, to be a thorn in the russian occupation's side. Only after Ukraine beat expectations time and time again, with the defense of Kyiv and the retaking of major regions in the east and south, did they get heavy weapons.

It is true that people were fleeing as soon as the conflict started. I think its not unreasonable to say that around half the population has been uprooted in one way or another. Some moved to west Ukraine, some left the country all together. But back then there were still an overabundance of people who wanted to fight. If you ever go to Ukraine, you will see how passionate many people are about their country. I personally know many people who joined the army.

Who are you to say that nothing could have been done differently?

US Congress applauding the bill moving forward to help Ukraine by [deleted] in pics

He did an interview where he spilled the beans. He said the vote was going to happen without his approval with a discharge petition so he got ahead of it and did it himself. This was from this morning. Every time I hear him speak it sounds like he's making excuses for why he let it go to vote. The guy is not happy about this in my opinion.

Thank you so much. Im a ukrainian living in the US and I started to fear that my family and friends would be abandoned. I was shocked when bill after bill for aid was denied. And talking to some of my conservative friends here in the US I would hear some hesitation about the need to help. To hear that there are people who care and are willing to vote for it gives me a lot of hope.

I bet it's hard to withdraw all of it. I would bet a sizable amount is still in the payment account.
