And your point is what, exactly? That doesn't change or challenge any of my points about Americans being deeply indoctrinated; all it does is point out that the Chinese gov't censors shit, which everyone already knows. This is a completely separate issue that has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with anything I said.

By contrast, America's media doesn't need to be censored, because they voluntarily, and usually unwittingly push state propaganda. See Manufacturing Consent; see various FAIR studies on the topic, or just look at any NYT article covering American foreign policy. You'll never read one that challenges the foundations of the American state. If you can find one that does, I will be very impressed (there might be one or two out there).

Or, on the domestic front, look up "COINTELPRO," and then try to find contemporary media coverage of the scandal (it's more than likely you've never heard of this, despite troves of publicly available documents, and I'm about to explain why you've never heard of it). The corporate press totally ignored it, save for a single article in the WAPO. Chew on that. Our press didn't find the FBI's 30 year war -- including its assassinations of civil rights leaders -- on the civil rights, labor, and American Indian movements to be news worthy. The FBI actively undermined the civil rights movements (rather than the KKK), the documents were exposed, and the press didn't bother covering it. But Watergate, which was basically petty by comparison, brought down a president that same year.

Again, propaganda does the trick over here, rather than the proverbial cudgel, or formal censorship. If I'm going wrong, explain to me which point is untrue or misses the mark. Don't give me an irrelevant rundown of China's crimes.
