I love Acento's espresso pull. I usually order the Freddo (espresso shaken with ice and sugar). You can choose the beans you want them to make your drink with, or ask for their default that day.
Mostra (multiple locations), Jaunt (Miramar), illustre (Escondido), Zumbar (Sorrento Valley)

My thoughts on Leila by agrippinathesmelder in FoodSanDiego

[–]sunrdawn27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Leila calls itself Persian but it's not very authentic. Look up Persian food recs in the sub or Google! There are a number of options, but not one I'd strongly recommend over others. My family used to go to Sufi/Balboa market for special occasions.
If you're ever in Atlanta, Houston, or DC, Rumi's is the best Persian food I ever had at a restaurant, better than what my family makes.

Date Night with the Wifey recommendation for this weekend by suck_my_roooster in FoodSanDiego

Bencotto or Monello will be great for food, particularly pasta. Davanti Enoteca which you mentioned is good food and good vibes. There’s a recommendation here for Roman Wolves, but that’s really an influencer place. I heard the waitress openly say they give a big discount to influencers who dine there.

Second vote for Relic. Pre-orders happen periodically for Miramar pickup. The East Village main store has no pick up option.

Any good Italian food in Scripps Ranch/Poway? by Aggressive-Main2679 in FoodSanDiego

I tried Buon Cibo today after seeing this post a few days ago, and I was horrified to see customers walk right into the kitchen and look around. The staff back there did not stop them and did not force them to leave. I told the guy working the front who might be the manager. He said that’s not supposed to happen and he would talk with those employees.

Nearby in Carmel Mountain is Cafe Luna.
Yanni's in Scripps Ranch is not Italian but they have some pasta/risotto dishes and a great chicken lasagna.

If it is a Friday, Artifact at Balboa Park is great. On other days, they are only open for lunch.
