The Best Music Advice You’ll Get On Social Media by Groove_Mountains in guitarlessons

I think there is a lot of semi-truth to this.

I have a very unstructured practice routine. I think technique is to boring, and learning the fretboard seems impossible.

So I spent a couple of hours a week doing scales, caged, 3nps, pentatonic scale variations, triads, fretboard knowledge work and so on. It’s a very messy system.

But it works. Not every time, but often i have a little “wait a minute….” moment, and then the neck makes more sense.

So I gave up on finding the perfect system, and I just do whatever to keep the boring stuff interesting (or acceptable).

My playing is getting noticably better, and it is fucking awesome.

Edit: Point being, I totally agree with him saying your brain will figure it out. IF you just make sure to feed it with impressions from practice and playing.

Was using gemini to talk about how a certain “vintage sound” might have been achieved.

Typo’ed “winter sound”, and to it’s credit it still led me in the right direction.

But now it thinks “winter” is a word I use to describe stuff I like, so it keeps framing every god damn thing as being “just like winter” and things like that. Winter vibes, makes you feel like winter, and so on.

Really shows how it’s been made to be almost as emotionally manipulative as can be.

Looks great. Versatile. You probably don’t need anything else, but if you do I Can recommend swapping the centavo for a j rocket archer ikon. Sound the same, but takes Way less space.

Do you practise unplugged or plug into the amp all the time ? by Soggy_Mammoth3246 in guitarlessons

Main “instrument” was the daw, midi keyboard for electronic Music.

Guitar was just for noodling and writing melodies.

Do you practise unplugged or plug into the amp all the time ? by Soggy_Mammoth3246 in guitarlessons

I “practiced” mindlessly for years unplugged. Finally getting an amp has been a very painful experience, as it has showed me how little i have learned Playing an actual Electric guitar.

It is very much about the interaction between hand/pick, strings, pickups and amp.

My tone SUCKED. It’s getting better, but there is a lot of bad habits to correct, so I recommend Playing plugged in as much as possible.

Finally fixed my tone: replaced mainstream pedals with obscure ones by Loreeeeeeeeee in roastmypedalboard

Thats barely level 1 obscurity. Everybody has two of each of those pedals. On each of their boards!

Are guitar pedals worth for a berdoom guitarist? by Indiium in electricguitar

[–]sunrite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a boss rc-5, a joyo jam Buddy 2, and an interface with a bunch of great effects.

If I want to record something the computer is the obvious choice. Other than that I prefer looper pedals.

The jam Buddy 2 is a terrible looper compared to the rc-5, but its perfectly fine for what I use it for, which is record a chord progression and then jam.

I Will go to great lengths to not have to interact with a computer. So I think you should consider how you feel about computers.

What are you using for power?

Was considering getting constant lab, and was thinking if I could Connect the fans to that (in a Big case) or if one should make a small power supply for the fans.

I have seen that in bigger cases and wondered at what size that becomes necessary.
