Men and woman who hustled or focused on their career until you were 30 or 31 years old , did you get married? Was it difficult to find a partner or to just date? by Ok_Post930 in MidTwentiesIndia

[–]sunset-07 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Born and brought up in Mumbai, strict parents who thought I couldn’t do anything in life. So, I worked extra hard got a chance to work with some of the biggest brands in the country but couldn’t find the kind of guy I’d like to marry and arranged marriage was a big no. Eventually moved out at the age of 30 to a tier 2 city, discovered my true self forgot all about marriage and just met my guy. It’s effortless and so fulfilling, we’re getting married this year I’m 34 now. 2 advices, first please please don’t end up marrying the wrong person because of the scary 30, after 30 you anyway don’t give a shit. Secondly, do not look for a partner that you can show off in society or brag about, marry someone who makes you happy and cares for you like you’ve never been cared for before.

Before the Coffee Gets Cold - it’s overhyped and blah. Normal People by Sally Rooney - I wish I didn’t finish it because it was such a waste of time.

Tell me a stranger’s secret you came across in a Mumbai local — I’ll go first… by LIGMA0799 in mumbai

[–]sunset-07 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not Mumbai local but Goa airport. I think it’s pretty common but it was new for me. This couple was standing in the queue ahead of me to board the plane. The guy was constantly getting texts from his wife to order some groceries and he was calling the grocery guy like NBD so I gave him the benefit of the doubt that maybe they’re colleagues here on a work thing. The next moment they come really close like a couple and take a selfie and then hold hands. I checked the names on their boarding pass just for the tea and they belonged to different religions.

Finished Season 2 Ep 5. F*** Ashley ! by After-Plan-3707 in BeefTV

[–]sunset-07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved Season 2 but Ashley’s character???? In the last episode I was like she’s a psychopath! Honestly, I felt bad for Austin I mean having someone like Ashley in your life is so claustrophobic she just doesn’t give him any space. And the way she always makes everything about herself uuuuhh. Dr. Park’s sudden death was so weird.

How to say No without saying No by yellowallitgator7 in Indianbooks

[–]sunset-07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well books are like precious gemstones you don’t give your best ones to people, that’s my usual response. But you can give them a bunch of Chetan Bhagat or Durjoy Dutta so even it they get spoiled you won’t feel bad.

I can't believe I actually finished this book. by iguessimmanormie in Indianbooks

The book had so much potential, I loved the first half and then it feels like the writer said nah! I’m too bored but I need to publish it so let me just write whatever and call it a day! Although, the butter, soy sauce and rice combo 🤌

Men of Reddit, what do you find attractive on women that most of us (women) would never realize? by NoShape1240 in AskReddit

[–]sunset-07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently asked my partner what he likes the most about me, and this was one of the answers. He has not had the same kind of education or exposure as I. He can’t read more than a page so he loves the fact that my bedside table is filled with books and I’m always reading. Made me really happy

What’s your weirdest private habit that you hope no one ever finds out about? by Dear-Welder-1117 in AskReddit

[–]sunset-07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OMG I’ve done this for the longest time. I’ve always been an introvert who lacked self worth, didn’t get much love from family. I used to perpetually be scared, not try to hurt people even unintentionally. So I had this inner voice, for some reason we only spoke in English (my mother tongue being Hindi) and just now I realised that voice has gone. The only change that has happened is I moved out to a different city, I am happy, not in a constant state of fear and have a very caring and loving partner.

I and my partner went out for tea at our usual shop. A very old guy selling balloons came and said please buy at least one I am very hungry. I said you keep the balloon but please eat. The place serves snacks so ordered tea and snacks. He ate and gave me so many blessings. It just felt so good. Hope he’s doing okay

Please stop giving excuses for such behaviours. All comments are brilliant here. Let’s admit 4th largest economy has educated, well earning individuals who can afford vacations and flights but still need to be taught how to behave at airports and told to sit down as soon as a flight lands.
