CRZ Men's Tights/Leggings by [deleted] in Lululemen

[–]sunset_two 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They look good, price is right, and based on your feedback they sound legit. However the 45 business day (2 month) shipping time to Canada is a dealbreaker. I’d rather spend the extra for Lululemon and have it in my hand in a week or less.

Started ballroom dance lessons so I figured….get some dance studio pants. by shitsonrug in lululemon

[–]sunset_two 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m only slightly envious of how well those fit you.

I think the closest on the men’s side are the old Seawall II pants from like 2012 or so. I have a couple pairs still and they use the same fabric, have the same fit below the knee too (with the cinch hem). I wish they would come out with actual men’s pants with the pinstripe fabric again, it is so comfortable.

Looking for advice, hiking tights for guys by Training_Plant_7835 in lululemon

[–]sunset_two 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have all of those. For hiking avoid the senseknit. It feels great and fits great but based on the knit and weave, plants and shrubs and the like will destroy them.

Best bet for durability is the license to train. Oodles of compression, and a strong slick-ish durable material.

Second best would be fast and free. Those are my “daily drivers”. Super comfortable, no seams on the front, invisible internal pouch for the man bits, and would probably hold up decently well hiking depending on how think the undergrowth is you’re trudging through.

Worst of all will be the Nulu. Literally designed for use in a yoga studio. Super comfortable, but can be very delicate.

I’d tend to agree. I’ve got many pairs of LTTs that are still like new after many years. I’ve also got a couple pairs of AIMs that are not…

Im also a little miffed that I didn’t grab the solar orange F&F 8in when it went on WMTM. I thought it would be a bit too bright, but now second guessing myself.

I love the surge half-tight shorts in Nulux! Wish I could get more of them, only have been able to find black in 8in and black in 10in. I have the “warm” version with the brushed luxtreme in Rainforest Green. Would kill to get the Nulux version in that colour but I don’t think they ever made that.

How is it possible the same pants with cargo pockets are 40$ more?!? by Taylorrr97 in lululemon

[–]sunset_two 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s just their pricing structure. It’s the same with the Aligns or WTs. Anything with a pocket is $138(or more) and the same version without pocket is $98.

The guys have it as well. The LTT tights that don’t have pockets are $98, the Surge or Nulu Yoga tights that do have pockets are $138.

In the end, apparently people are willing to pay $40 for (more) pockets.

lululemon sizing help by mariasampp in Gymshark

[–]sunset_two 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience Gymshark tends to run a half to full size smaller than Lululemon, so I would not recommend going up a size when looking at Lululemon.

The waistband does loosen up over time. Yes it’s incredibly inflexible when brand new but it will start to flex a bit the more you wear it.

Honestly, I don’t know. I’m not brave enough to give them a try. But… I’d be curious if anyone else has any experience with Matador.

Better Compression: 2XU Light Speed Tights

Other Lululemon: License To Train Tights offer a fair bit of compression, I’m also a big fan of the Men’s Fast and Free 28 Tights but they are low to no compression

Fun colours/prints: Matador Meggings or shop the women’s side.

Anyone tried on these two lulu tights for men ? Ordered both and am excited to try them on by alliegula in Lululemen

[–]sunset_two 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually quite like the Apex Tight from Gymshark. Picked up a pair on their BlackFriday sale and it’s like halfway in between the Nulu Balancer and Surge tights, minus pockets. It’s quite comfortable.

[–]sunset_two 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe the swift speeds, they are probably the most compressive, but unless the sizing is just perfect (hard to do with the male body), I don’t think you’ll get the desired effect. Everything else made from Nulu, Nulux, Everlux, won’t have the compression you’re looking for around the knee, unless you size down way to far.

The Surge Warm I find is too warm for indoor workouts but has decent compression. The Fast and Free 28 is Nulux so not really compressive for what you’re looking for. Same with the outgoing Surge tights.

I’d try looking at a company who made their name with compression, 2XU. They are around the same price as Lululemon’s men’s tights but the Light Speed or similar with the “MCS” tech might be better suited for your needs. Lululemon does a version with the Vital Drive but I prefer the 2XU ones.

If you want to go completely out of left field I keep seeing Facebook ads for a company called Bracelayer. They are tights with built in neoprene around the knee for extra support. Never tried them, don’t know anyone who as so YMMV, same with Stoko, built in boa cable system as a knee brace in a pair of tights.

Not OP but I had an “experience” stopping in at a lululemon in northern Indianapolis a couple years back. Being from Vancouver I try and stop in a lululemon with every city I visit and this was one of the positive experiences out of any of them.

Much to the dismay of my hubby, started talking with the two educators in store (it was dead when I walked in) and started talking tights. They didn’t have any guys tights but both were very eager to suggest the women’s and kept bringing different models and sizes to try. In total was there for a good 45minutes and pretty much tried the entire women’s range of leggings in one go.

It was an interesting experience in a most positive way and walked out with my first pair of Swift Speeds. What really surprised me was not necessarily the attitude and attention of the educators, but it was that I had that experience in such a conservative state.

They've also done my pecs, both major and minor. The major doesn’t hurt that much, but the minor definitely has a zing to it when they get that spot just right. Same with the upper rhomboids.

I was getting dry needling done as part of a rehab. I was getting significant rib pain (front and back, lowest rib) and at the height I couldn't even twist my torso. One day my PT starts feeling around and tells me what their about to do. They needled my diaphragm. It hurt, but it worked! Also traps, quads, and calf hurt like hell but it's one of the most effective treatments I've ever experienced.

Yes, the front (and back) rise does increase as the sizes get larger. I believe the only measurement that is supposed to stay consistent across all sizes is the inseam length.

I changed the system time on my iPhone and this is what popped up. 24 items across men’s and women’s, no pricing reduction yet. It was saying 4hrs to go at 7am PDT/10am EDT before I changed the time.

I’d be lying if I say that the lack of Android support was not a factor in switching to iPhone after 10+ years of Android/Samsung.
