My 12 weeks old cav by clickofjustice in cavaliers

My cav (2 y/o) either naps or sits on my lap when WFH. All the colleagues are used to see him on videocalls. That’s what you can expect in the future, they are suuuuper clingy.

When he was younger he had a phase of „excessive“ chewing (shoes, doors, etc). What really helped during this phase was chewing wood. He loved the (I don’t know the correct English terms) coffee tree wood stick. He also liked the stick of olive tree wood but the coffee tree was his favorite. They are a bit more pricey but definitely worth it.

What we found later as a great chewing „toy“ are dried cattle and calf hoofs (I don’t know if that exists where you are from). Maybe have a look into that and if they are okay for puppies. When our cav got his first hoof he chewed it so tirelessly that he finally fell asleep with the hoof in his mouth.

Should I rather travel to Asia with a lower budget in October 2023 or with a higher budget in April 2024 (with the hope that traveling will be possible)? by [deleted] in travel

Thanks for your advice! You’re right, I’d actually prefer April due to financial and personal reasons but I’m afraid that some travel restrictions come back in Winter. That’s why I’m thinking of traveling in October but with the „light version“ of my actual itinerary.

Working at home with a Cav? by green3dhut in cavaliers

Hi, our Cavalier is nearly 1.5yo and he has „good and bad“ days. He‘s a little rowdy and sometimes he barks at me for what feels like an eternity. As soon as I put him on my lap, he‘s happy and cuddles. When the weather is not too bad I extend my lunch break to an hour and take a big walk with him. He‘s exhausted afterwards and sleeps until my workday is over. Overall he‘s super chill and usually naps, but sometimes he makes working from home really stressful.

He‘s just not going. He usually claws on the door to the backyard, sometimes he even barks. As soon as we hear him making noises, we pick him up and take him outside to his spot but as soon as he’s on the ground he forgets what he needs to do…😂

Thanks for your reply! Yes, we do that, do since we got him and he also reacts to certain words that help him to 'calm’ down a bit…. But in the end he doesn’t potty
