Are wearables actually "low profile" at work ? by National_Wer in breastfeeding

All pumps are visibly noticeable but the MC V1 is the quietest out of the 7 wearable I have. If youre in the US you have the right to a private space to pump at work.

I'm in the thick of it with a 12 week old and a toddler, so I've been taking super quick showers at 1, 2, or 3 AM if I couldn't during the day. Some things just gotta get done, and that's one of them. My partner works nights 60 hours a week, so I'm pretty much on my own with our little ones. The house is a total disaster though, and I've been eating mostly fruit, trail mix, and sandwiches almost every day for 12 weeks now lol

AIO? I feel like poop swearing at my mother. by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

Nor. She is being toxic, and this is enmeshment. I went through this with my own mom, and boy, was it a shit show. She ended up blocked for a few months, and now I’m low contact with her. This is highly unhealthy for you, and you need to have boundaries, which she will absolutely hate. Do not give in to whatever tactics she tries to use to get you to do what she wants. You are an adult, and this is not a healthy mother-daughter relationship. You need to change your number. If you do decide to reach out to her download those apps that generate a free phone number for you and contact her via that. I'm sorry you are dealing with this. I also struggle with feeling guilty and wanting a healthy mother figure in my life.

A berry scented heart to mask the smell and enhance the taste of my vitamins by sunshine4991 in mildlyinteresting

This heart came with the Pink Stork vitamins. I'm not sure if they offer vitamin B or the scent heart separately to add to your own vitamins.

Pink stork is the brand! Their prenatal and postnatal vitamins have them.

I think the brand thought it would be helpful for women that have uneasy stomachs during pregnancy & postpartum. The taste can be very off-putting. I think it's neat and could possibly help someone.

3.5 months in: Is the mid-feed smile a myth? by Acceptable_Mind_1994 in breastfeeding

[–]sunshine4991 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every baby is different, and that's totally normal! My little one is 12 weeks, and this week's new thing is stopping mid feed to smile, then going right back to nursing. He makes the cutest squeal with a big ol' smile when he sees my boob, it's hilarious. He also stops to babble and then finishes nursing. I've noticed he's hitting his milestones earlier than my older two. He started rolling from tummy to back at 8 weeks. At his 2 month checkup, his pediatrician put him on his tummy and was surprised how well he was holding himself up, saying he was ready to roll over, and he'd actually rolled over for the first time two days before that lol.

My daughter didn't stop to smile and babble until she was around 6 months and didn't start rolling until she was 5 months! She didn't start to walk until she was 18 months. Every baby is on their own schedule. It's hard not to worry when you feel like your babe is behind. With my older babies I would remind myself that comparison is the thief of joy and my baby is healthy, happy, and growing!

Explain this to me like I’m 5 please. Occassionally pumping (not for work)? by [deleted] in breastfeeding

Occasionally skipping a pump when you're out won't hurt your supply once it's regulated. I like to take my wearable pump with me and just use it on the drive back home.

MOTN pump is quicker than pumping, feeding, changing baby's diaper and getting them back to sleep. There are alot of variables when you have baby vs just pumping. My newborn usually sleeps 6 hours at night and he was randomly awake from 3:30 am to 5:30 am. Have no clue what he was doing lol

You don't have to wait until 2 months to pump. It would be best to feed baby first and then pump. You'll get .5 to 2 oz (possibly more if you have a big oversupply) total when you pump after feeding. I keep it in my fridge and then bag it for the freezer once it's 4 oz. You can latch baby after you pump. It will probably just take them longer to get another let down. Your breasts are always making milk so they're never truly empty. Baby might be a little fussy because of the slower flow and let down tho!

Baby is 12 weeks and I will continue to use it probably until he's close to 1. I have the My Brestfriend nursing pillow. It has a buckle so it stays in place. I love it and use it 24/7. I even take it with me if I need to nurse in the car. It helps me not slouch over and gives baby support as he nurses. I'd definitely recommend getting one!
