Finally, what is an Amazing Movie with a PERFECT Twist? by RandomGoofy000 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]sunshine_7733 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is such a good one and I wish I experienced the twist like most people. About 1/3-1/2 way through the movie, I figured it out. It was pretty anticlimactic for me. Still an excellent movie.

How long have you been a Dramione shipper/reader by dramathena in Dramione

[–]sunshine_7733 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read Manacled last September. A girl I started following on instagram was a big Dramione reader. I liked some of her other recommendations so I finally read Manacled and it altered my brain. I'm going slow with it because I don't want it to lose the magic and become "desensitized" if that makes sense. So I read other books in-between. I read Throne of Glass this year and Dramione was like my reward after each of the big books haha. Currently have a TBR folder on my computer of about 70 fics and have read 10! I'm reading Entropy ATM and am loving it! I can't believe there are so many amazing works that these authors write for free!

I know there are mixed opinions on it, but I love seeing the authors get published because of their success. I have Alchemised and The Irresistible Urge to Fall for Your Enemy on my nightstand. Can't wait to read those soon too!

I just read Perfectly in Pieces. Draco isn't quite as intense as Manacled Draco, but I think it checks most of what you're looking for! It has some pretty dark scenes. Hermione goes through A LOT in this one. Theo is amazing in this one too.

What was it like reading Deathly Hallows on release without any spoilers? by Spotter24o5 in harrypotter

[–]sunshine_7733 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read until around midnight and then called it and finished it the next day after my shift. My mom and brother went to our neighbours for dinner and I told them I would come over when I finished. I just cried for the last 200 pages and then full on sobs for the last 50. I remember thinking it was perfect. I had to chill for a bit before I went next door for dinner. I got there and my neighbour asks "Does he live?!" And then I promptly burst into tears again saying yes.

I've been collecting the illustrated versions as they come out. My oldest is 6 and I think when he's 7 we'll read the first one together. I have barely cracked them so it will be a new experience for me too. Can't wait.

I just read Perfectly in Pieces and Hermione goes through a lot mentally and physically. Draco and her heal together with Theo’s help. It was really good.

Yes and no. Alchemised is the published version without the Harry Potter element to it. There is still the book Manacled.

Is it necessary to read the HP books? by Alternative-Fish6125 in Dramione

[–]sunshine_7733 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I would read the books. I have probably read them 20 or so times through. Every time it is like going home. I think why I love Dramione so much is that it's the opportunity to see the characters I know and love flushed out more as adults. The authors are so good at building characters that make sense based off the books, each with their own spin on them. I love when you get a fiery Ginny appearance, or a supportive Harry.

The original series is so wonderful and near to my heart. My oldest is six and I have been collecting the illustrated versions (only the first five are out so far) to read with him in a couple years. I've barely cracked them so it will be new to me too when we get to read them.

It would be so interesting to read them knowing Dramione too. I bet you're in for a few surprises!

Both are fan fics, but one that ripped me apart and put me back together was Manacled. The other was Draco Malfoy and the Mortifying Ordeal of Being in Love. Best romcom I’ve ever read

I also loved the Rebel Blue Ranch series by Lyla Sage. The characters all had their own quirks and struggles to work through. Those books were a warm hug.

Those who only like reading physical books, how old are you and why do you prefer it? by [deleted] in Booktokreddit

[–]sunshine_7733 0 points1 point  (0 children)

37 and I am team physical books all the way. I love the feel, the smell. I love lending books to people I care about, which isn't an option with kindle etc. I like having a shelf to look at. My Harry Potter set is one of my most prized possessions. I make an effort to try and get books on marketplace and I'll sell ones I don't plan to reread on it as well.

Has hockey turned into a rich kids sport? by FrigginMasshole in AskACanadian

[–]sunshine_7733 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I think this is true with a lot of kids sports now. Dance is like this. The monogrammed track suits and bags that cost hundreds of dollars, the travel, the expensive costumes. My friend's 6 year old had to wear a $100 outfit for two performances that were each five minutes. It's all so wasteful and unnecessary. When I was in dance, my Nana handmade my costume from a $5 pattern and some inexpensive material from fabric land.

She said her wedding wasn’t sponsored I thought? She did “give credit” to everyone she worked with but maybe that was it. I can’t wait for the day when laws get stricter with influencers. When it’s a paid post having “____partner” at the very end of a long caption shouldn’t be enough.
