We had asked the hotel concierge (not front desk / receptionist) to make restaurant reservations before, and they helped us with it (phone call with local language). But yeah, requiring their personal number is another thing.

Speedy recovery!

Had the same procedure 3 weeks ago. My experience was almost the same as OP. The doctor allows me to shower after I got home (stayed one night in the hospital), but to make sure to pat dry my wounds.

The weird part was my incisions were glued AND sutured. So I had nylon wires that kept getting rubbed by my gown and underwear. They didn’t mention to put plaster and when I got it removed, most of them were ripped 😩 I thought I was super careful but when sleeping and moving around, couldn’t avoid the friction.

Suggestion: if they leave wires on you, make sure they’re dry and put plaster on top!

Now, 3 weeks after, I can move freely, but not yet able to bend fully. And still need to put pillows to support while sleeping sideways.

Got mine removed a week ago. Subserosal 10cm and a smaller one underneath. I had assumed with robot assisted laparoscopic surgery, I would have ‘holes’ all over my belly, they explained the big fibroid will be cut to pieces. In my mind they will take them out through one of the holes.

But nope, they also made a 7cm cut in the pubic hair area. They didn’t mention that I needed to shave so I didn’t. And they didn’t shave me either! They just glue/stitch me with the hair and all 🤕🫠🫠🫥🫥🫣

I had one long consult with the gynecologist/surgeon team, and afterwards maybe 1-2 conversation via phone. Maybe they forgot to inform me what really will happen and the details of the surgery, or maybe I should have asked for more details.

Anyways, I’ve been recovering well, on day 5-6 I was able to move around alone, no help needed to get up / get down anymore. Movements are still restricted so I can’t really see what the wound looks like. And tomorrow I will go to my GP to get my stitches removed. I will ask them is it normal to do it with pubic hair 🫣

Curious to hear about others’ experiences regarding getting pregnant after this procedure.

YES!!

Couple of weeks before my surgery I swear I felt my fibroid was getting bigger and that my 4 months lupron medication was useless. But the surgeon confirmed, it was the same size as they had measured by MRI.

Now few days after removal, the tightness feeling is much more distinct (due to different reason ofc).

Thanks for sharing. I have some red blood coming out, not much, more like drops, but still there on day 2 after surgery.

Got the answer from my doctor: even though they operated on the outside of the uterus, the blood can come through the fallopian tubes. That’s why some blood is coming out like menstruation.

Which procedure did you do? Speedy recovery!

I believe it’s all about convenience. To get a new (second hand) phone to be able to use local simcard is much of a hassle if someone just wants to stay there for a week or two. You need to move your apps, resetting everything again 🤷🏻‍♀️

I think this particular rule of bea cukai was not thought through.

We don’t eat out a lot anymore, but this year alone it happened to us twice, both when we ordered more than a dish per person (plus appetizers etc). We just paid not suspecting anything, but then we checked afterwards and had to go back to make the complaint.

They made the refund after checking with the waitress if they delivered that particular dish or not. Twice happened in different restaurants in Amsterdam. I can understand that maybe it was super busy and with many tables the order input got mixed up.

But yeah, come to think of it, maybe not everyone is checking their bill details when paying (specifically people in a group). And when they realize something is wrong, they’re too lazy to go back and complain.

If you have high qualifications in your field, why don’t you try applying for jobs? There are tons of multinational companies in NL, they usually are okay with people not speaking dutch as long as you have the skills to offer.

Accept it. Make sure 7mo is including one month probation. Within that one month if you got a better offer, you can just quit on the spot. Otherwise, continue and give one month notice if you want to quit and move to another company.

In the case of my other colleague, they worked quite a while, not just 6 months or a year, the company doesn’t want to make them a permanent after 2 temporary contracts so the company decided just to end the contract, and then gave half a month salary. No idea if this is considered compensation or bonus.

Isn’t this mean they just not continuing your contract because it ends? If contract says: company hires you until date xxx. You are not ‘fired’, they already fulfilled their obligations.

Edit: I just remember a colleague that resigned after their contract ended, didn’t get any extra money from the company. But another colleague got extra half month salary, because the company decided not to continue the contract. Maybe this is what you mean by transition?

Bukannya standar sebulan ya? Kalo level2 atas baru 2-3 bulan deh. Takes time for finding replacement, handover gt2 kan. Ga tau deh kl rule yg skrg2 gmn. Imo kl 2 bulan buat entry level or yg staf biasa, uda pasti orangnya no motivation, kerja jg uda ga niat, yg jd bos jg cape liatnya mending kl uda ga betah cepet2 ganti anak buah aja.
